  1. The question remains though: Do you reckon that America would vote the fuck out of her all election night long?
  2. Hilary Clinton steps down from her post as Secretary of State. Unrelated to this news, heard from a lot of sources that she is being groomed as the next Democratic candidate. Thoughts?
  3. His absence makes their hearts grow LeFondre.
  4. Wasn't the fee undisclosed? During his tenure here he has contributed to a promotion and a 5th place finish. His inconsistencies are apparent to anyone who has watched us over the past few years, granted. However, I'm not using the term 'on his day' to describe 30-yard goals against Wolves. I'm using it to describe a player who understands his limitations and position in the squad, and can work to his strengths 'on his day'. For instance, his protection of Santon as he has bedded in in the past year and a half. He was signed as a flair player of sorts, for attack minded football. However, he has changed his gameplay to adapt to the fact that he is limited in that Ginola-role that Keegan appeared to have intended for him. I do think that he has had games this season where he has been absent, and has lacked that well worn and cliched 'engine' that pundits often attribute to him. He is no longer a guaranteed starter (had Marveaux been fit, there'd have been no question in my mind who to go with, considering who we were playing... for the first half at least), but I would have him over the likes of Obertan starting any day of the week. I'm not making excuses for him, just highlighting that he offers more to the balance of the team, when you average out good and bad form, than Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Ferguson.
  5. He had a really tough match, surprised he stayed on the pitch. I thought he'd either be subbed or sent off after he had that barny. Then that little villa mite shoving him in the back straight after. He did well to keep his cool. Didn't have the best of games really, was slow to the ball and sloppy with his touch i thought. That said, we know what he can bring to the team on his day. Hopefully Pardew will pull him through this lull.
  6. Pardew Post-match: Alan Pardew paid tribute to Newcastle United's board after the signing of five players this month spurred them on to a vital 2-1 win over relegation rivals Aston Villa at Villa Park. New arrivals Moussa Sissoko, Yoan Gouffran and Mathieu Debuchy all started and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa came on as a substitute as Newcastle recorded their first away win of the campaign. Pardew thanked the club's board for freeing up the cash to sign them - and then heaped particular praise on French midfielder Sissoko, whose sublime pass set up Papiss Cisse's opening goal. Pardew said: "There has been a lot of work and effort to get that win, not just from the staff and the players, but the directors and [Newcastle managing director] Derek Llambias. "It was obvious when Demba Ba went, in the position we were in, it was a blow to the personality of the team. But the new players have given us a lift. "Sissoko was magnificent in the first half. He is going to be a powerful player in the Premier League. "Sissoko made a difference today with his power and control, and he helped Papiss, who has been a bit isolated, especially since Demba [ba] left. "I have always had my eye on him. That's a nice little aperitif that he showed tonight." Cisse's strike was followed by a brilliant goal from Yohan Cabaye as Newcastle enjoyed one of their best halves of football of the season so far. However, Villa fought back superbly in the second half and the visitors were forced to hang on for victory. Magnificent "In the first half we were magnificent," Pardew added. "We would have given anyone a game with that performance. We played as well as we have played all year. "In the second half, we had to show another side to our game - to battle, to fight - and everybody played their part. "We were disappointed to give a goal away after three minutes. It knocked us a little bit. We haven't won for a while, so we were a bit rash with our clearances." Despite the victory, Pardew insisted his side are still a long way from being out of relegation danger. He is confident of escaping the drop, though, and believes Villa will also be safe. "Fair play to Villa," Pardew said. "They got clapped off at the end - and quite right. They gave it everything. I don't think they will go down. They have got too much quality. "But it was our day today. It is by far not over for us. We have got 14 cup finals to come, but it's a start."
  7. Aye, a mackem I'm mates with (aye) was telling me about it, said he was embarrassed by it. So he should be, how pathetic, how petty can you be
  8. I'm so exhausted after watching that.
  9. is Little having a wank while commentating?
  10. Need to calm the fuck out of this shit.
  11. I agree, but Debuchy should have been aware that a player could dive in such circumstances.
  12. Villa looking shakey as fuck at the back. We have got to score tonight like.
  13. Just was absolutely distraught about it. 'Disgraceful behaviour' from a professional footballer. When asked why, he said it was 'insulting'. Then when pressed as to who the joke insulted, he mumbled and got even more enraged. Raising his voice to the presenter and Garth Crooks. Was just completely bizarre behaviour. Garth Crooks was saying it was just a joke, Savage adamant to-the-death that it wasn't a funny joke. Fucking odd bloke.
  14. Please tell me someone else is watching Robbie Savage's discussion on this on final score.... fuck me, what a fucking idiot.
