Wouldn't be surprised if there was bother in the town afterwards. Atmosphere isn't good.

No-one can implode quite like Newcastle.

Course we are, though I don't think it will ever be the same since the transfer stuff with San Lorenzo. He well and truly rocked the boat then, as captain, as a leader on the pitch. Whether he is or isn't as injured as Newcastle says he is, Colo as a loyal leader on the pitch is gone. We don't just miss his ability, we miss a leader and a motivator on the pitch. Someone who gives a fuck, someone who can put in a shift like he did vs. the Mackems at their place earlier on in the season. We were in the mire before that happened in january, obviously. But I won't ever forgive him for that crack like, and the way it went on and continued like a bad hangover. We are still feeling it now, regardless of his 'injury', regardless of whether he can play or not. The notion of a captain of a club wanting to go is shit for morale (obviously not blaming him for the season or today's result, but just can't help but think that that damaged the team spirit a hell of a lot more than we credit it). That said, would have loved him there in the past few games. We are so shit.

Fuck this shit. Im done. Pathetic.

That's mint. Bet that bloke who missed the pen doesn't sleep for about a week mind.

Affectionately known as 'doing a Newcastle' I've heard...
-
Is that true? That it's been 6 and a half years since we turned a game around for a victory after trailing at half time?
-
Awful miss Perch. Harder to miss than to score from there ffs.
-
Fuck that, I'll be eyeballing imperial vodka by the end of the game at this rate.

not fit to wear the shirt.

no movement at all. No player has any options when on the ball so we hoof. You can see them looking, then thinking 'fuck it, Cisse, heads up.' No creativity whatsoever.

Jesus h. christ.

Seem unable/unwilling to be remotely concise around their box. No penetration whatsoever.

Yeah those comments are cringeworthy, yet worrying, considering their volume, and the amount of 'likes' they get.

Jurgen Klopp is fucking brilliant like. Great to see a beaming manager after victories rather than the pretence that the likes of the po-faced Mancini and Benitez offer. Just admire Dortmund so much, from their fans to their manager to the players and the way they play football.

TIKI-TAKA MAAAAN!

What was worse was Adrian Chiles questioning 'is this the end of "ticky tacky football"? Is this the end of the Barca style of play' So painfully simplistic, it's like saying, 'Is this the end of people who wear hats being successful in attracting the opposite sex?' Cannot stand that guy.

If that's true, that's one of the most shameless things ive ever heard of in football. Using a tragedy like Hillsborough as leverage for PR in the aftermath of a despicable incident. Well done Suarez (and, by extension, Liverpool board). There is absolutely nothing admirable about him wanting that money to go to a particular place or whatever. If any Liverpool fan falls for this, I really hope that those with sense will pull them back round to sense. Fucking atrocious.

Ben Hur, for the first time. Absolutely brilliant. 9/10

Couldn't believe it when he said that.

What a downer. Poor bloke.

Turned it off, couldn't bear the pomp.

Not directly related, but I read this article in G2 at work today and thought of this thread. Maybe some people'll find it interesting: http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2013/apr/15/oliver-stone-america-went-wrong -
Q1. What are your opinions on your season so far - has it gone how you expected? Woeful. Always knew that last season was an extraordinary season in a good sense. This one has just been dreadful. What is worse is that we could have built on the last season and became a definite top 10 fixture of the premier league. We didn't - for many reasons - and now we're in the shit. Q2. What are your opinions on our season so far? Really well. Rate Clarke highly, definitely think he is one to watch over the next 10 years. Your club seems very stable now. Q3. Peter Odemwingie was the attention of many in January. What did you make of him and the way in which we dealt with the situation? That he became a paragon of where the modern 'footballer' is going. No respect. Glad he didn't get his own way. Though in hindsight with his attitude, him and QPR may have been a match made in heaven. Q4. You were also incredibly busy in January - how have your new signings settled in and who should we be wary of? Sissoko is brilliant on his day. Gouffran also. Q5. You won the game at SJP 2-1. What were your opinions on this game? A hard fought win against a respectable outfit. I do recall we had a bit of luck mind. Q6- Where do you expect Newcastle to finish the season and which clubs do you feel shall be relegated? We could finish anywhere between 18th and 13th. I think we'll finish 15th, but we could have a really bad run after the derby as everyone will be feeling shit. Reading are gone, as are QPR. I think it'll be really tight for that last one. I really can't tell anymore. One shock result and the whole situation changes. Stoke are in free fall. Villa are putting a few wins away but are inconsistent, and then there's Wigan who always get out of it one way or another. I don't think the mackems will go down anymore. Di Canio will keep them up with the confidence from sunday if anything else. I hope Wigan go down out of all of them. Or Villa. Q7. Where do you expect West Brom to finish the season? 9th probably. Q8. What side is Alan Pardew likely to choose? Jonas will move to LW and Haidara will fill in for Santon. Other than that, same as Sunday I'd imagine. Q9. And finally, score predictions. 2-1 to WBA
