So I was going to hold out until the end of the season and then just hit them all in one weekend of food, drink and smoke binge. But, I caved last night and caught up with the first 5... (Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't read the books) Next one I think, or the 7th episode, with .

If we can't beat QPR, away or home, when they have nothing more to play for this season, we deserve to go down tbh.

What I don't get is that if his disagreements with Abramovich led to him leaving the first time, why would you go back? He's still the same shady, controlling, mega-rich 'football-club-as-a-play-toy' owner he ever was.

Fucking knobheads at work who complain about not having been served for a whole two minutes at the bar while being surrounded by 30 other customers waiting to be served, with two bar staff on, and talk to you as if it is your fault you were born with only two hands. INTENSE POST EDIT!: sorry, just been a long day!

Revisited this after the Liverpool match the other day.

Jumpers only brought ambiguity and confusion - was it in? was it out? The keeper'd know about it if he dove into a crank like.

Only having to worry about which footy player 'I'd be' for the kick around after school with upturned bikes for posts.

That's hilarious. One-liners are a good opener, but not use the whole way through. My mate is writing one for another mate atm, he showed me some of it the other day. Don't know if he ripped it from somewhere but his opener was 'I don't mean to sound patronising... does everyone know what that means?' and then proceeded to some cracking material, from stories of the past to hypothetical ways the marriage could end disastrously (all laying it onto the groom and giving the bride a pass). Was good stuff, really creative and self-referential.

Aye the thatcher poster certainly has the same air of ambivalence/malevolence towards anyone who is down on their luck like.

This is absolutely wonderful:

Seems like the players thought the season ended after the West Brom game tbh.

Aye but WBA and Swansea have fuck all to play for. It's all hypotheticals and suppositions right now, yes. And we are lucky that it is still in our hands (just imagine if Cisse hadn't got that winner against WBA in injury time?), but from where I'm sat I have seen absolutely nothing in the past few games that we'll get anything when the pressure is really on in these next 3 games. It completely removes the 'ball being in our court' so to speak, as I really do not think that we'll get another point this season. Honestly not trying to be pessimistic, just fucking hate this situation. At the start of each season since we came back up I've thought 'right, get to 40 points, then we can relax a bit. Until then, we need to go into each game like it's a cup final to get the points on the board.' That hasn't seemed to happen all season, and I don't think it's going to change now simply because the players don't seem to have it in them. That team spirit of Nolan et all has completely dissipated. The only realistic 3 points we could get I think are at QPR, but it would be fucking perfect if the worst man in football was to fuck us over. Urgh.

Not to mention Allardyce wanting to play the salt in the wound.

Sorry but... Eh? Yes it is a very real possibility we will get relegated and Colo may help as a prevention for that. In the summer he can fuck right off - he isn't part of the future of this club no. But the future of this club may depend on a solid performance by him at the back. I'd happily sacrifice any would-be dignity, based on him wanting away, in refusing him a place in the team for the sake of staying in this league. To dismiss the possibility of relegation is ludicrous, though i appreciate that you wrote this before tonight's result.
-
Yep. If Colo can walk, he can fucking get on the pitch and put a shift in. If there is a dilemma over his fitness then throw caution to the wind, he is one of our most experienced players and, whilst his crack in January was abysmal, we need players of his talent now. Usually I'd stop short of a mackem/red scouse-esque comment like 'he owes it to the club', but fuck it. We need him and if he is even 50% fit we need a confident player like him propping us up at the back (Wehey).
-
Absolutely. His behaviour in January rocked the boat far more than I think we give credit. The captain, the last strand of the 'spirit' of the team which we had when we went down and then came back up. I'm still really disappointed with him, and I can't imagine the playing staff feeling any different. We need someone of his calibre on the pitch, but it's so fucking depressing that his heart seems so far away from Newcastle.
-
Cant rely on the Mackems for nowt... Mind, the cushion is that they got a drubbing. Saturday cannot come sooner enough for me like. Just want that game to start and to try and pull something off. The wait is excruciating, every time I read about football it just reinforces how much of a dangerous position we are in. Just want to get on with it.
