Pathetic MOTD there like. First game on, analysis did not mention one aspect of the game, just the Pardew incident. Proper tabloid outrage from Hansen, Lineker, and Savage. Obviously it needs some attention given to it and be denounced but fucking hell, 5 seconds into the programme alluding to it then 10 minutes talking about it.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

Must admit I find the media's outrage a bit excessive like. Pardew is a complete and utter tit and this is yet another example of it, but it's not like he bit anyone without provocation or made a bigoted racial slur. It was a heated coming together and neither of the parties are blameless, but no one died! It is pathetic that a 52 year old manager can get involved like that, totally embarrassing. But calling for the sack for something like that is ridiculous. As if Ashley would sack him anyway! Gillette Soccer Saturday pundits wailing like banshees about it as well. He's a fucking moron and will deserve the three match ban (at least) he will get. But howay man he didn't kill him! Perhaps though, as someone else said, I might be too far down the rabbit hole at this ridiculous club to see it objectively. Just a real shame that it has taken away the shine of a great performance and result.- 10610 replies

Great, surprising result.

Bit premature perhaps, but I reckon Stoke are putting to death Arsenal's title challenge here.

Ahh yes, the old passive Glasgow kiss. Classic.

Wonder if Remy is thinking 'silly boy'...

Radio saying Pardew stuck a nut on him?

No Han Colo? Steve Bruce will be our Rancor.

Had a conversation last night with a good mate (toon supporter) who knows his stuff about footy. He was claiming that he was going to be supporting Sunderland in the final because of a NE loyalty; that the few mackem friends we have would feel how we would feel Newcastle were to win it. That it would be a victory for our region against the Southern/NW dominated football press and culture. He is not the only one who shares this opinion as well. I've heard a lot of Geordies saying they will be wanting Sunderland to win on Sunday. Whilst I can admire the open-mindedness and good spirit behind this sentiment, I absolutely couldn't get on board with it like! I told him to imagine the noise, the whine from wear side if they were to win it? We would never, NEVER hear the end of it until we won something of substance - a once in a lifetime event that doesn't look likely to happen any time soon. I hope they enjoy their day out as far as it goes to comfy travel, seeing a bit of London, blue chips and cheesy pop, but I really really want them to go home empty handed after a stuffing. The british love the underdog, but not the mackem mongrel. Fuck that.

I'd take a draw to be honest. Have been impressed by Hull this season and they are solid at their place (sorry for the Merson-level of generic commentary there). Head says 2-1 to them though.

Aye. Young is fucking wank like.

It is Moyes as well as the players like. They look like they haven't got a plan B. When working down the wings doesn't work, they seem completely out of ideas. They had 2 shots on target the whole game Moyes's passing tactics are so one dimensional it is unreal. When you couple that with a team of players who looked for the majority of the game like they were shitting themselves when on the ball, you are going to have trouble. Sloppy, clumsy, disjointed. They played a lot how we did against the mackems.

Great goal by Joel Campbell.

Anita was decent for the last twenty minutes. Though he was as uninventive as anyone for the first 70 I thought He needs to learn to open up space more in midfield and provide more passing opportunities for other players. He was good for the final part of the game because the team utilised his good qualities - namely, he was allowed to actually run at players. I bet he is a tricky player to play against when he is coming forward with the ball.

Remy dedicated the win to John Carver, whose father passed away this week. Good lad

Carragher wants us to put on 'Goswell' as well.

How much more of a chance do you need than that sitter though?

That half was the football equivalent of a dull toothache.
