    Solano Peru hint stuns Newcastle

Newcastle have been left stunned by news that Nolberto Solano could return to international football with Peru.

Solano, 31, recently re-joined the Magpies for a second spell from Aston Villa in a £1.5m deal.

The winger was sold by Sir Bobby Robson two years ago after long-haul flights to South America caused him to miss Premiership matches.

Solano said: "There is nothing in my Newcastle contract about not playing for Peru."

  2. That goal for villa might have been his first one, someone crossed it in, he flicked it in the air and then did a bicycle kick and volleyed it in, keeper never saw it coming.

Must be on the web somewhere

  3. He did it in the Villa team with a similar style, he will give us width, keep posession help out the defence and most important set things up and score goals. You can never have enough of them in a team.

  4. I see someone suggesting you should be as good as Brazil, do you think thats maybe one of the problems?  Expectations are too high?

Maybe but if your team consists of world class player like Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard then why should they not be good enough to win at least the European Cup.

  5. This team is good enough to win the world cup make no mistake, thats the main reason why Sven is keeping his job the team is making him look up. His tactics are as bad as Souness and hes losing it. If we had a tactical genius someone like Morinho i reckon we'll be up there with Brazil.

  6. The best situation woud be to have all four, two challenging each other on the left to get the very bets from each and see who deserves to play there and the prospect of Bellamy and Owen together rippign defences to shreds.

Great signign in Owen and hopefully great signing in Luque too, but i would love to have seen all four here.

    Don't get too greedy now..

Bellamy and Owen wouln't have worked though in my opinion need at least one physical striker in the english league these days, Bellamy might think he is but isn't.

  7. A few injuries to key players and we are screwed.  We could rally have done with hanging onto the likes of Ambrose & Hughes.

But when Shearer is rested we look pretty strong.

Although I think a 4-4-2 will be more likely.
