Realistically, with the number of pressing needs that we have coupled to the small size of the squad, its a two 0r three year job to get us out of the pack. Hope youre wrong but suspect youre right.

The sides peopl have put up are piss poor to average. Long season ahead if we start the season with that lot.

Hope you realise your insurance is void if you don't declare, thats what i heard anyway I had someone go into the side of my car when I wasnt there. About a grands worth of damage. Anyway, I rang the insurance and they asked if I had had any speeding fines. I hadnt declared them. So I owned up and they told me to pay a premium (about 30 quid) and they got on with the work.

He is a long way from woeful. He isnt the best or the worst. The stick he gets makes me think people like Leazes. There have been woeful players in the past, including the recent past. He doesnt deserve that moniker. He may have flaws and he may not be the most popular but its embarrassing when people come out with that nonsense.

Other than living in Newmarket where the barbers chairs were very high for some reason, I have never paid more than 6 quid for a haircut. Same one for the past fuck knows how many years.

Couple of quick vegi options: Nice fresh squash, hollow it. Hoy some fresh cream in and some gruyere cheese. little bit of nutmeg. Hoy its lid back on and in the oven it goes. Bloody gorgeous. or Nice Feta pasta. Sauteed vine toms, lots of garlic and olive oil. Chuck some fresh olives in. Then the cooked spag. Toss it about. Then the Feta for about a minute making sure it doesnt melt too much. Then some fresh basil and youre sorted. The last one is nice with a bit of that thing I cant remember the name of: Butter in a pan with shit loads of garlic, then hoy it over some bread. vine toms, some mozzarella, some basil and in the oven it goes. Its got a name and I cant remember it. Could tell you a lovely one to make with lentils and puff pastry but not sure there will be many takers. My lentil soup is fucking gorgeous though and youre a hom if you dont like it. Mexican food or Curries tend to be what people ask me to make though. I like cooking

Nah, It says on my mac that I have only a few meg left but only 60mb of songs on it. Put it back in my phone and there are shit loads of songs on it. The songs dont show on the card when I plug it into a card reader on my mac to delete. Think I'll just format it tomorrow night. Got another 4gb one through the post today so I'll see how that goes. No idea why it happens though. Like ewerk says, think it just needs formatting - only had the bugger a week!

Got a new phone - sony walkman. The memory card is 1gb. I have added a few songs and deleted a few on my mac. It says I have used almost all but the only thing showing when I ask my mac is 60mb of songs. Where is the rest? Can I format this and start again?

Decent fullback and by fuck we need one (well two really). Its very easy for people to suggest that buying a left back isnt going to solve goalscoring issues. However, if the player is decent then it goes a hell of a long way to keeping possession, adding another attacking dimension, providing better support and options to our midfield push at the opposition and this one seems to have a decent shot on him aswell. Hope it works out.

The matchgoing fan is being distanced more by the globalisation of the game. Times, ticketing etc are dictated by TV and commerce more and more. Its a crock of shit to say that money hasnt won teams trophies in the past: Liverpool and Man Utd both broke the transfer record with regularity before SKY came along but its not as organic as it was. I think that takes something away from the game and the fans. The income from fans is important but the passive fans will contribute almost as significantly when broadband matches on demand comes along (with any level of quality).

Football has got daft tbh Darren Bent is a better than average player but the money being asked in transfer fees is ludicrous. The players wages are getting dafter by the minute. Billionaires have popped up at Chelsea, Man U, Newcastle, Liverpool, WHU, Villa maybe Blackburn, Birmingham.... How long can it last though? I struggle to see the return that many (including Ashley) are getting on their investment when the money swilling about is inflating player wages and prices the way they are. It might open up the league a bit as more and more clubs have the financial clout to muscle their way into the top 4. Plenty cash from TV at the moment and none of these fellas made their money from being daft. Hopefully its not a short term thing. Long term we may make money but its going to be hard when transfer fees and wages are spiralling the way they are.

Is she the one from the Haymarket?

I have scored a five a side goal against Jim Montgomery (very nice fella as is it happens), I am related to George Camsell (Boros top scorer), few other things - taught Yasser Arafats nephew, President Mubareks grandkids, Rodney Trotters brother and sister, went on the piss with Mani and Bobby Gillespie once - that was an amusing night too. Used to stand and talk to Jackie Milburn with me dad outside the west stand at home games when I was a kid. didnt really realise the significance of who I was talking to tbh.

Different situation though. Barton hasnt yet had a go at the Chairmans son, Manager, Captain, Assistant manager, Terry Mac (whatever he does) or the fans yet. Probably does put Bellamy in the 'upstart' category. Terry Mac was also a far better player than Bellamy will ever be. Think he was saying he was a bit of an arsehole. Fair comment really. Barton has simply attacked two teammates, a scouse kid and said that he thinks the club (Citeh) needs a good kick up the arse. I'll ignore the stuff away from the club that both seems to be quite aept at. Saw Barton on Soccer AM and he came across really well. He certainly has better taste in music than Bellamy, so on that basis I'll give Barton the benefit of the doubt until he does anything at our club. Correct. True but we did also tried that attitude with Bowyer and look where that got us! Personally I think Barton wants to play football and wants to play specifically for Newcastle, Bowyer always seemed like he was here only for the money. True and Bowyer had 1 and half good games for us in his time here. Think Barton can be an arse but he seems the type of lad to have a little too much pride to do a half arsed job of anything. Including knocking a teammates head off.

Just wish it would sort itself out. Prefer him to go rather than hang about to put himself in the shop window for something better. Very good player but not keen on players who arent committed to the club. Not many do it for the love of it but I just feel his heart isnt in it. Cant blame him after the shambles he has seen in the 2 years he has been here. 3 managers (two of whom were incompetent), a takeover and a very average squad. If I was him I would be looking for better. Maybe the Ashley thing will change his mind but he should be at his peak at this stage of his career. Anyway, we'll buy someone else if he goes so not too fussed. Not like Ashley is short of a quid or two or that Sam isnt aware that he may have to buy.

See earlier post. He got some caps! He was up against a world class striker. Milner, certainly isnt up against anyone really of that standard unless Gerrard is played there. If he is worth the bother, he will get them. He hasnt. He wont. Simple really.
-
International caps mean that a player has excelled at some point. Those selceted recently have done something to deserve it. Not sure Milner ever has. Or will. Dyer has the ability, as you state. Milner will never have that. He simply isnt good enough. If he was, and your comment that he is 'one of the best' suggests that you think that, the he would have propelled him self there. He hasnt. So some bugger is wrong here? Was it Sven? McClaren or you? I said "one of the most productive" and that isn't an opinion that is FACT! So all good players would be playing international football at 21 right? and if they werent the finished article at 21 then they are never going to be good enough correct? At 24 that average player Didier Drogba signed for Guingamp. Wonder where he is now, I mean signing for a club like that at 24 you obviously have no chance of making it. You suggesting that Milner is the standard of Drogba now? Youre like Mystic Meg! I will guarantee he isnt anywhere near. Nb: Beckham just came off and Dyer went on for England. That is the present. That more caps won in a week for Dyer than Milner is likely to get in his career. any idea why that is?

i'll think you will find that I stated he has his flaws. Just nowhere near as many as Milner. Versatility is a good thing to have and sometimes it holds you back. Didnt when Dyer played in central midfield and was important in us finishing 3,4,5th. Like I say, if you cant see it then thats fine. Your problem, however, in your overrating of Milner you are making yourself look a bit daft. You never answered the question. Do you think he will ever play for England, or indeed deserves it? Cole did, Fowler did, Le Tissier did but they were up against World Class strikers. Who is world class and plays on the right for England right now? Surely such a talented player would walk in? Again, there is a reason for him not getting a game. His top performances have seen his ex colleague, picked ahead of him (Lennon) and he is another with flaws (just not as many as Milner).

To quote him... "The main point being - if Fred remains as a chairman - that people will realise that the chairman isn't the major shareholder and isn't making the big decisons on his own, but that was the case anyway. If the club are now [more] successful, who will get the credit, the chairman or the major shareholder Likewise, I'm pretty sure who will get the blame if we are not. You couldn't make it up........" Freddie is a 'top boss' ?
