Newcastle’s £6m offer for Smith holds the key to Dyer departure
gram replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
And there in lies the difference. A fully fit Dyer will be in the first team, the same can't be said for Smith IMO, I just think we're getting a lesser player for the same money. I don't think a fully fit Dyer would neccessarily make the first team actually. More like Milner - Barton - Butt - N'Zogbia imo. Dyer is better than that lot. Smith isnt as good and it isnt all about the 'team' rather than the permutations open to you. Smith is fine but on a like for like basis we are getting a far weaker player. -
Robert Smiths favourite song that. My favourite Joy Division song.

Kings of Leons new album which is very good and Elliott Smith

Lloyds have apparently sent me two credit cards to my old address and wiped out my old one without telling me. I've got a pair of Airmiles Duo Cards hanging around somewhere. I didnt know anything about them until I looked at my Internet banking to sort something else out. Had to cancel them. They sent one to my old address. When I told them I had moved they sent another to the same address.

Enjoyed it, not as good as South Park the Movie though.

Decent player. Our central midfield isnt the strongest. Emre needs to sort himself out or leave. Barton, Geremi and Butt are decent. Dyer is off. We have very little there and Smith is a decent player to bolster numbers really, aswell as being versatile to some extent.

A superfan is someone who attends games? Interesting. It might pay to have a little less of the childish comments when you dont like an opinion. Or someone might point out the irony of what you claim to 'see'.
-
well done The chances are I have seen it. The chances are you havent. The irony isn't lost is it? Like discussing music with a deaf man.
-
Not really. Just an opinion from attending games. I'm sure the comments on the end are intended to discredit the opinion rather than have a stable debate. That in itself is a bit sad really. Nice weather over there?

No way is Dyer a better player than Malbranque imho Dyer is a far better player tbh
-
Never really been a fan of Malbranque. Dyer is better than they have despite what people may think about him. Think he will do well there. Prefer we got someone with either some bite about him (big fucker) or a proper ball player/playmaker like Deco. Not convinced it will happen.

They didnt write it But they made it theirs with their thrilling cover. True enough. Canny few good versions of it though. The Clash album was a great album. Better than Londons Calling I reckon.
-
They didnt write it

Corn exchange area is ok. Some decent music bars. HiFi is an OK club although we got booted out of it last time. Nb: It is still shit compared to Newcastle, Manchester or Sheffield.
-
1973 and it's difficult to say who won. It was a ceasefire tbh October 6th is a National Holiday in Egypt though, so they think they won. There's also a huge War thing at Nasr City which celebrates their victory - its canny to see but all a bit odd. It's near enough where Sadat was shot too. The Israeli's won in 1967 though.

me too....it was great I love the smokers rejoicing cos the weather was nice and they got to sit outside and smoke. The myriad health problems and the fact that the weather is shit 80% of the year pales into insignificance on days like that. I think it was more the fact that the whingers had to sit next to us outside whilst we were smoking in order to feel the benefit of the good weather than anything else Mr G But you realise you still fucking reek though, right? Last night in my own house before the new people move in on Thurs. Debating whether or not to have a tab. Too tired to go outside so think I'll just open a window. Of course smokers reek Gemmill. I always liked the smell even when I stopped for years. Might decide to stop sometime soon but the 'you can't do that here' brigade in the pub should be forced to smoke Dale Wintons tool in a Beer Garden.

What a bellend you are 'toondood'.

He is nowt like Mark E Smith Mind you, Brix Smith

I like that too. You can be pretty sure that The Verve will write their new album though and perform it with instruments themselves. Significant differences tbh OMG R33L MUSIK LOL (That said, the Spice Girls had co-writing credits on all their hits IIRC. Whether you believe they had much input is, of course, an entirely different matter...) No but gram has a point, The Verve are making new music so as a band they are contributing new material, the Spice Girls are just travelling the world miming to their old hits, they're not taking the trouble to create anything new. I read his point more as "songs are automatically better if you hold a guitar while singing them". Mind, I'm biased since I think the Verve's post-split output is about as good as that of the various Spices (i.e. not very), so both comebacks have the potential to be seriously tedious rehashes of something that was vaguely relevant ten years ago. I may change my mind if Ashcroft wears a sparkly Union Jack dress though. If thats the standard of your interpretation then you did well to knock back Barbara Striesand

I mind we played Rotherham in the FA Cup in 93 and they charged us treble the normal away fan money to get in. We had 5000 in the away end, and fans elsewhere and all you could hear was "YAAAAAA GREEEEEEEEDY YORKKSHA BASTAADS YA GREEEDY YORKSHAA BASTAAADS" It did happen, I went to that game - shite game as I recall. I assume you are calling Fish a tight Yorkshire Bastard?
-
Anything you are not keen on sounds the same. Never can see the point in discussing the merits of bands. Some arse always ends up saying 'you have been sucked in by the hype' when in fact it was my ears. Meanwhile they listen to some monotonous thud from dance tracks that all sound the same.
-
Everyone has something or someone they will never be convinced by: Mine is Milner Gemmills is Martins Stevies is anything except Geordies If we do get rid of Martins we will need someone other than Gudjohnsen in. He is a very good player but its alwyas nice to have some (real) pace up front as an option.

I like that too. You can be pretty sure that The Verve will write their new album though and perform it with instruments themselves. Significant differences tbh Of course neither group are doing it for charitable reasons but McCabe and Ashcroft at least have the wit to know that they work best together and will get some artistic benefit from it.

Me too. Always enjoyed myself in Central London. Come to think of it I have enjoyed myself wherever I have gone in London. Apart from Wembley.

Good thing you haven't met me yet in that case. My mate is from Kent, lovely lass, down to earth and very intelligent. Its not too healthy to have a hatred of other people from other areas really. Apart from Sunderland (and I have lots of friends there too).
