  1. tbf TOPTOON, you are thick as fuck. Your knowledge of football tends to reflect this, particulalrly in the way you adopt the Peter Reid school of tabloid talk. Please fuck off somewhere else and bore the shit out of them. N-O are looking for 'members' and you seem to fit the bill perfectly for that particular word.
  2. Shola isnt top class but he is very willing and the shit he gets from some morons in the Leazes is a throwback to the 70s and 80s. Its embarrassing really.Decent squad player and did well under Roeder when fit (ish).
  3. Butt is a centre back? In the 4-4-2 formation, 6 is traditionally assigned to a central midfielder. 1 2 5 6 3 7 8 4 11 9 10 tbh Quite correct.

    Newspapers

I read the Independent normally. Sometimes I am a Guardian reading wanker Sometimes The Times although i resent giving money to Murdoch it is a decent read. The Journal is a very good newspaper for a local one. I get that when I come back up. Some of the local ones, including the Evening Standard, are appalling.
  5. Didn't Souness inerit the likes of Shearer, Bellamy, Given, Dyer, Robert......... Yes but what I actually was implying Jimbo was with regards to the 70 million spent. That 70 million figure is absolute nonsense. Maniche for instance was a (virtual) free. He spent barely 20 million euros. Urban myth I am afraid. Some fucker on N-O probably made it up.
  6. Didn't Souness inerit the likes of Shearer, Bellamy, Given, Dyer, Robert......... He signed Ferreira, Maniche and Valente and McCarthy for buttons. Less than we spent on Laurent Robert.
  7. Mourinho at Porto: Checked the players he signed and they didnt cost much at all collectively. From what I can see he spent less than €20m
  8. Who would be manager with LM as chairman then?
  9. ah.......now those quotes are things I thought he was doing well and warranted a further look at. However, you have to say the last few games, especially West Ham, he WAS carrying an injury. I don't see anything saying I "rate" him ....... and there was nothing stopping you logging in while you were there we don't bite you know This is the writing of a man trying to wriggle out of corner!!!
  10. To be fair to him, he has a right to gloat a little on this occasion. I'm not gloating, but I confidently predict that their "plan" to win the premiership doesn't succeed, unless they get the "right" manager.......... I still wish we'd got O'Neill though I'm not sure he's that good. Time will tell. There are others I would rather have had, although I wouldn't like to name people because nobody stands out like managers in the past did ie Clough, Ferguson etc. Too many people think O'Neill will be like Clough simply because he played for him and is outspoken like he was. It means nothing. You then look at the foreigners, and there are a few good candidates, but we got our hands bitten off with Gullit - who was backed by a large section of the clubs support at the time. We don't want someone who doesn't understand the potential or capability of the club, but having said that, we have played 100 times in europe so should be fairly well known abroad by now...... As for Curbishley, average manager, builds average teams, nothing more, nothing less. Have you read Clough's autobiography out of interest? Did you rate Clough's judegement? Iirc Clough rated O'Neill very highly. Still, I can recall several posts from you where you have stated he is no better than Souness. Btw, Villa are ONE point below us. Anyone care for a wager who will finish with more points this year, us or them? What about next year? Unbelieveable that anyone could be laughing at how badly Villa are doing when you look at our own position tbh. As for West Ham, how have they "planned" anything this year? yes I have read his autobiography. What does it matter if he rates O'Neill highly ? Aren't there others he says he rates highly? Bobby Robson rated Bryan Robson highly ! Matt Busby rated Wilf McGuiness highly, doesn't half of football rate Ray Wilkins highly ? How many players are rated as top potential managers ?? There are hundreds. The FA think Steve McLaren is the best man for the England job ......... I've no idea what West Ham are "planning", and to be honest I hope the cockney wankers go down and they "plan" to stay there. However, appointing a manager like Alan Curbishley wouldn't figure in any ambitious plan that I had for a football club !!!!!! However, Glenn Roeder would......
  11. Do NOT get into the logic game. It will result in: 1. Denial 2. Mr Tangential going off on something diametrically opposed to what you have said 3. Abuse when he realises he is making a tit of himself 4. Complete lack of understanding of the points you make. 5th Best board in the last ten years.......

Nice to see you rate Peter Ramage at centre half but not O'Neill as a manager. Top class judgement.
  13. When Bobby came here he had a very similar situation. Not much money about and had to be selective. He bought/loaned older players to get by until the younger players he wanted came about. Roeder shouldnt be so bloody stubborn. He is digging a hole for himself. It is pointless closing the door on potential solutions. The money in the game now is so great that unless we 'plan' for fiscal and sporting success (relative) then we will be in bother. That means considering all opportunities. The debt issue is becoming a major factor here. Our club is in a financial mire, and it is of our own making. Decisions without 'planning' and 'foresight' have cost us the ability to 'target' the 'right' people.
  14. Been for a run, done some exercise, 3 loads of washing, tidied house, marked books, washed up. Been very productive so far. Still got shit loads to do too.
  15. Did you enjoy your time away Leazes?

    Arrogance

haha, you got proof of that? Sounds like you are talking out of your arse tbh btw, wasn't really talking about just selling out their allocation. They make the most noise as well tbh At SJP, or anywhere? Because if you mean anywhere, I think you're talking shite. You need to go down to lower league football to find the best away fans. Scunthorpe perhaps

    Gabby Logan

Had on, I'll hoy one of me up on here for you instead... Never thought Gabby Logan was good looking. The one on catmag's profile is better imo Catmags got a stalker tbh
  18. yep. plays centre back and defensive midfielder. Never seen him but the law of averages says he cant be much worse the shite/inexperience we have been playing recently. He might lower the average age of the team too which is all important apparently I mean we dont want players past their best like Sol Campbell Roeder is having sly digs at people but he wants to get his own fucking house in order first. Can't believe what he is saying in the papers this morning.
  19. The way he talks is an embarrassment. He is on the same mental planet as Alan Oliver and Saint and Greavsie. Thought we had seen the last of the cliche driven bullshit of the sheepskin coat manager. Then again McClaren is England manager How fucking thick are this lot though? Roeder seems a decent man, was a decent player in a shit side for us and always seems to have the club at heart. He should NEVER have been made manager though. He isnt strong enough. Freddie is pissing him about and the thick fucker hasnt realised it.
