  1. Like I said, you have neither the intellect or social skill to debate. Your knowledge of business and economics is piss poor given your complete lack of thought to the idea that people can proactively recruit decent people to run a major area of the business. You never did respond to that point did you? Why have we reacted in the last 4 appointments rather than planning them? Bellamy will never come back. He isn't wanted by a very large proportion of the fans for one. Freddie Shepherd wouldnt recruit him either given the chairmans comments after the Man Utd semi-final. A bloke who does that - and lets face it Freddie wouldnt lie would he? - isnt gonna be welcomed by too many. I'm sure even you can see what I m alluding to. Not likely to happen is it? Peter Beardsley was welcomed back both as an opposing player and as a Newcastle player. Times and circumstances change and on his first game back with Liverpool he was applauded. The same happened when we visited Anfield. Strange that isnt it? You continually fabricate nonsense to suit yourself. I was in the Gallowgate mostly prior to 1992, you werent the only one at the ground as I recall.
  2. ah, but its a "plan". And so long as its a "plan" thats the main thing, as we never "plan" like every other club does The "plan" brings guaranteed success, as every other club in the world bar us has been more successful than us because they have a "plan" Happily you have no idea how dense you sound
  3. I am planning my return to the North East after ten years away. I still get to home games and obviously away games are fairly easy but its knackering and its not the same meeting people at away games rather than travelling with them. Looking forward to it but house prices are fucking silly! Some places that are blatant shit holes are going for fortunes.
  4. What would he know, he only started going to our matches in 1992...
  5. not a "trophy" player, so people should be happy Would you be happy with his signing, Leazes? You honestly think he'll answer that without mentioning 5th best etc? I was expecting something along the lines of "a good chairman will back his manager with whoever he wants" The chairman doesnt decide who is bought. Or sold. Bobby Robson is a just a lying old twat when he claims Freddie would do that. Leazes was there when Freddie didnt do it.
  6. I teach kids at school like Leazes. They come across as myopic, self centred prats at times. When they can't argue the point accurately they make stuff up and then they resort to bad language too. Leazes seems OK until he adopts the persona mentioned above. You're a teacher !!! That explains everything. Please tell us how many clubs have qualified more for europe than us in the last decade ? Without making anything up. I will when you decide to do likewise. I think we may be in for a long long wait! The answer is 4. Manu, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. Can you think of any more ? Let us know if you can. I see you have nothing to say regarding my comments about Peter Beardsley pissing off to Liverpool in the other thread. I did reply as it happens and it didnt respond. Couldnt be arsed typing it out again for a mong like yourself. If you think Peter did it then good for you. I was there and your average pig buggerer thought he did as you think but the more erudite amongst the fans understood exactly what occurred. Nice to see Bellamy get fuck all but abuse yesterday. Seems you were wrong on that one too. I have no idea why I am responding to a man who has neither the social or academic skill to debate properly. Maybe its for the sheer amusement and bewilderment I feel when you start swearing again. Nb: Do you think Robert Lee's assessment this morning that we are miles away from the top four and looking unlikely to get back in it is accurate?
  7. Which lower league teams do that? Can't think of any in League One Wolves? I'm sure somebody plays Tom Hark but I can't think who at the moment. Ipswich
  8. I am fucking ecstatic. Very amusing at the end when Bellamy went to clap the away fans and they had left HE didnt know what to do the spineless little cock. He ended up chatting to Steven Taylor in a non-too-friendly manner. Taylor doesnt seem too fond of him Martins played well and Gooch did his job very well. Solano was excellent and Milner kept them busy whilst looking like a man with lead weights on his legs wading through treacle. Dyer had a good game and with Martins kept the centre halves busy and prevented them stepping up too often. Harper was shocking in terms of kicking. They were dull as fuck and should have been a few up early on. When it didnt happen it was fairly even really without them looking like scoring. Bellamy should have been booked but wasnt. Titus should have been and was. Linesman was clueless and I am off to the pub again. Wasnt intending to stay up here tonight but think I am now. Happy days. Me fatha can't stand the fuckers. 68 year old and still couldnt help hurling abuse at them. Nearly had to take the old sod home with ten minutes to go he was so wound up.

  10. the amazing thing is that you actually seem unable to realise or admit that very few footballers are welcomed back by supporters by clubs they have left. You wouldn't expect anything else but 100% committment now to Liverpool. The same as he showed Newcastle. Which is the whole point. He always gave that, unlike lots of others who people think we were better off keeping. Short memories, as well as poor judgement. The only thing wrong with Craig Bellamy is he doesn't play for us anymore ....... Astounding that despite everything that has happened, the money we have wasted replacing him, and the sacking of the fuckpig who brainwashed people like you into thinking he was putting the club first, you STILL think we are better off without a quality footballer who ran through brick walls for the club. Astounding that you can't see the wood for the trees on a daily basis yet still feel compelled to tell other people that they should bow down to your supposed superior wit. Please stop it. Everyone is bored of it. Your becoming a parody of yourself. Finally, please stop telling people how to make their mind up. My attitude is similar to that of many people tomorrow. Even you will see that and youre as dense as they come. Pure vitriol will spout from my gob towards him. He slated the club and deserves what is coming his way. I don't recall Les Ferdinand getting that. Do you?

  12. He will get hammered and rightly so. Absolute arsehole. His actions at Anfield showed his 'affection'. Too many incidents for even the most myopic of his fans to claim he 'loved' Newcastle. He loves himself. Plain and simple. Not unlike the boy (Men don't hit women) himself. We will see the depth of adoration tomorrow
  13. are you saying that someone who has been doing something for 5 minutes knows as much as someone who has done the same thing for years. That is pretty dense if anything is. What a shit analogy. Go buy a clue and come back indeed stevie, the notion that people like Sima and Baggio know as much as people like me - and you - is laughable. They don't even believe how shit this club was for decades before 1992 so how can they be told anything. If anything, they and other like them completely prove that instant experts they are not - which is what they think they are.... Hilarious You sound a bit of a tool when you go down this route. There are so many ways to prove you wrong on this point but its pointless trying. You never listen to anyone but yourself. That is one way NEVER to learn.
  14. You are a fuckin prick, I would love to know wether you even go the fuckin game, I might just crack one of you lot in the Bull tomorrow and pretend its you. If you lose will there be a minutes silence the following match?

The lad is correct. You do sound like a complete cretin throughout this thread. and you sound like on of those blind cretins who can't see an escalating and serious situation. Rivers of blood tbh your point is ? What exactly would you call the beheading of a serving British soldier ? Keep burying your head up your arse mate ....... Well its barbaric obviously. Maybe it was something to do with retribution for: 1. Guantanamo? 2. The Balfour agreement? 3. Raping and pillaging the oil, wealth etc from the Arab world (I can lend you books by the esteemed authors Graham Mansfield or Tom Friedman which paint this picture objectively but vividly) 4. Colonisation? 5. Going to war and wiping up thousands of civilians without due cause? Guess every nation/culture is capable of barbarism eh? Tarring everyone with the same brush belongs to the sixties and intellectually and socially maladjusted mongs. I'm sure you werent doing that though And the muslim world (both past and present) is the model of democracy and fairness. He who is without sin and all that I teach at schools that two wrongs dont make a right. Note the comment above on every nation/culture being capable of barbarism. Whether the Muslim world is a model of democracy depends on how you feel about the Western worlds model? We can take evidence of supplying Suhartu to murder 1,000,000+ people to destabablise a perfectly stable and insular Indonesian government, similar atrocities funded by the US at Sabra and Shatila, Balfour agreement (in my view the biggest contribing factor to problems in the region) etc. Like I say, tarring everyone with the same brush is moronic. We have had contributed more than our fair share of barbarism at their expense historically, some old news and some contemporary. They have had theirs. Neither are without fault, thus your comments on 'those without sin....' are very true. I lived over there for a couple of years and moronic comments by some are so out of touch it is untrue. Sad in this day and age. Personally I think it is insular fear that drives this on. The masses seem to get on perfectly well. Never lived anywhere more accomodating or tolerant than the middle east.

  17. In football terms, to be the 5th best in your field over a span of a decade is hardly failure. In business terms, if you are totally unable to see, or give credit for, a major stadium expansion and a new training academy, you have a problem. A serious problem. Called head up the arse syndrome. Perhaps you could also tell us how many clubs have carried bigger major off the field developments than us as well as qualifying more for europe ? Only 4 clubs have qualified more for europe than us in the past decade. Fact. The same 4 clubs are the only clubs with a higher average league position. So where does that leave us, other than 5th ? Like a lot of the other dimwits, you completely take for granted one thing that matters far more than almost anything, and that is backing their chosen manager with transfer money. This is the most important thing a board can do. And - as i keep saying - it isn't automatic, they don't have to do it. If you can't understand this, then you also have a serious problem in your understanding of football, which is not like a "normal" business. The irony! Never play Poker Leazes. You give your hand away so easily when you are beaten.Your flagrant disregard for the argument presented about proactive recruitment of key personnel is amusing though I don't gamble. I also know about and understand how football works, unlike you. Thanks for answering the questions and debating the issues though. Wise move Maybe we could discuss the issue of proactive recruitment again. Nb: I have no issue with FFS and his work off the field. He has done a lot of good. On the most important issue he is found wanting though.

  20. Business planning involves so much more than you say Leazes. Really!!! However, I will keep it simple for you. Any well run business understands that the real key to success is the 'right' people. That involves looking at a range of factors. Temperment, ability and experience and should be factored into any appointment. Obviously they are weighed up against potential benefits to the organisation. 'Planning' involves looking for the correct people in advance. It is proactive rather than reactive. That is obvious. Liverpool are a good example with their appointment of Benitez. We were in a similar state to them when Benitez was appointed and we have spent similar amounts. That they had learned from past mistakes in terms of appointments goes without saying. We, however, appear not to have learned that lesson. The Souness and Roeder appointments should never have been allowed to occur. How does a business manage to avoid poor appointments like this? Well they stop reacting. The last 4 appointments have been reactionary. One was a success - of sorts although other clubs of a similar size may dispute that claim. Personally I thought Bobby did well although he was far too soft with some players. He was also undermined by Shepherd in the summer, just prior to his departure. I doubt even you could dispute that FACT. The only idiot on this board who doesnt understand the problems with not identifying errors early and rectifying them proactively is you. Liverpool, despite winning more than we could dream of, knew their manager had overstayed his welcome. He was replaced with a man who could move them on - his track record was exemplary in modern football. We didnt do that, nor have we shown any sign that we are ready to do so. Its bad management. Roeder isnt the answer but we let him loose with the first team. That FFS can't see what is obvious to so many is staggering but I doubt it has crossed his mind to be looking for better. Nb: All success is relative. The top 5 nonsense is fairly dim when you consider the return on the investment made. Who employs the likes of Souness and Roeder? Thats where real planning and proactive management should come in. FACTUALLY we can see that our chairman has reacted to dodgy situations he brought about himself - either in terms of poor decision making or undermining his manager. There can be no disputing that.

    MP3 players

I got a 1gb (holds about 500 songs) Zen Nano for me Mam for Christmas and it seems fine. I'd have thought that would be big enough. It has FM Radio as well, but no MW unfortunately. I've got a Zen myself, although its a 40gb one that isn't made anymore. I've had it for a couple of years and it's a bit of a brick but I've not had any bother with it. I know other people who have Zens and it seems like they seem to be pretty reliable players. Must say that I prefer my Zen Micro to my Ipod. They are fine and have FM radio. Battery life isnt bad.
