Martins is a good player to have in the squad. He offers us what no bugger else does - pace. Plus he can score the odd goal. Gemmill, you'd be better off saving your ire for those patently not good enough for regular first team football like James Milner. If we got our money back on him I'd be over the moon. However, Oba is worth keeping.
-
He slipped and it went in off his shin Watched Sheff Wed, Leicester, Rotherham and the Fairs cup. Good stuff. Not sure Monka was who played for us but he scored 3 in 1969 according to the very posh commentator.

So was Fish, apparently.

Kellys v Porstmouth. Started off at scoreboard and ended up at the front. Fuck knows how

Woodgate was a far better defender for us than Cacapa tbh. Woodgate was exceptional in his time here. Cacapa is looking good. I was saying to me dad when I came out of the match that I thought that block on Anichebe was the best I have seen at SJP since Woodgate on Gronkjaer.

Concurred. I'm beginning to wonder whether both he and Barton may work in the centre together. Geremi needs to be pushed out on the right (Milner's lack of pace is beginning to get on my nerves) and Butt should be dropped. Geremi's the one that needs dropping tbh. He'll be far less use than Milner on the wing anyway. Very very wrong

Really? One man crusade against the fella You're right, I should celebrate his missed open goals. And I should ignore when people try to absolve him of responsibility for them. My mistake. Terse reply Gemmill. He is one of the few we have who can create anything on his own. He's erratic and we know it. I'd still rather have the likes of him than James Milner though. Sort of. In reality I'd prefer we had neither and got some proper footballers.

Superstar squad? Not really. Just rid of people who are in and doing very very little. Smith is fine by me. He offers versatility, commitment and can actually pass a ball. He has a footballing brain and adapts. Milner is just a spotty pleb who needs benching - probably quicker to bring the bench to him though.
-
Go and watch the spotty fucker. He is mediocre. At best. goals - when? crosses - have you watched his attempts? It's like watching Ian Stewart again. a good work-ethic - I can chase back slowly as well. Doesn't make up for the fact that I'm shite. Nb: Giggs would murder Milner over any distance. It felt very wrong putting those two players in the same sentence tbh
-
That's because you've been fuckin shite, Alan. Played very well on Sunday. In both positions. Keeps the teams shape an awful lot better than the bairns despite it not being his position. I'd happily drop Milner to keep Smith on the right of a three. He did that very successfully at Leeds. Of course, neither he or Milner are particularly good in that position but maybe the transfer window will sort that out.

Didn't exactly have a lot of time to impress, but it will be interesting to see if he plays and where/if Taylor plays in our next game. I thought Taylor played a good game, but I would be chopping and changing him & Rozenhal in central defence and playing him at right-back when needed. Wasn't impressed at all with Rozenhal in the air, but everything else he did, apart from miss a sitter, I thought he did a decent job. Mind, it says something when you've got him & Taylor bursting forward instead one or two from midfield. Taylor was poor tbh

Smith is a decent player who is being shunted around at present. Shola is a player who hasn't had enough football after a long term injury. Several others like Geremi, Milner, and Butt were shite but I can't really make an excuse for them.

Barrack Road? Its behind SJP. On the Milburn Stand side. Never used them but I will be later in the year so let me know what it was like please.
-
It'll be like the Powderhall Sprint with him and Milner head to head in November.

That's about as damning as you can get tbh -
Guffaw. Spoken like a true ignorant. He's right tbh. Musical arguments are daft though. Everything you don't like 'sounds the same' or is 'shit'. Personally I like the Libertines but I couldn't give a flying fuck whether other people do or not. Unless they wear a waistcoat and own a Gibson Les Paul - anyone with that combination doesn't deserve an opinion.

He's favourite to be the new scapegoat, so I hear.

Ta for that Khay. Very useful. Whats the difference between HTML and XHTML in a nutshell? Forget that. Bloody marvellous that website. Cheers!
-
Not really. We still have to replace him and thats gonna cost. Plus he's a lot better than people want to give him credit for. We need someone with pace as an option to the sloths we have at present.
-
Thought I'd seen this. I need to get into CSS fairly rapidly. I have no idea how it works or owt else really but I need to know. Any books people have used? A guide for the clueless, slow and easy is what is needed here. Ta. Also need one for whatever that web based VB is. Ta again.

For Dyer maybe. Doing the speed limit it would take double that. Might be right. It's still about 60-70 miles although its not unusual for people to London from Ipswich.
-
Will be driving to the Lakes so its the TalkSport Radio game and that will have to do. I'll go for a 2-1 win.

I wouldn't suggest it helps but looking at the issues he has had with it and (at the time) knowing a few people at Playford Road where he spent a lot of time working it seems far fetched to me. It may be a game here or there but certainly nowhere near the root cause. Thats all I'm saying. Never been fond of tittle-tattle tbh. Gets on me tits. No offence intended. Edit: Appears I misread the comment. Point still stands though, we have heard nonsense of that soprt about Dyer from people. Nb: If we can find better I'm happy for him to be on his way. Until then we're better off using him. At the minute he's the only one who can offer anything different (plus he's an awful lot better than people give him credit for).
