I agree, he comes up with occasional moments of quality but he is way to injury prone and we don't exactly have a good record with buying players and keeping them fit for long periods of time ashtons legs would probably fall off within a week of signing
  5. triggy doing his best to prove he's the biggest twat on the board still being run pretty close by torres
  6. See that's the thing, isn't it? With the internet the dissemination of information is much more prolific than ever before. People don't need to buy newspapers to know what is happening, especially about sport. So how do newspapers compete? Sensationalism. So what if it's wrong, they can just write a retraction in small print on page 106 next week. Combine that with a passionate sporting club owned by a media recluse and we are a very easy target. Just look at the media coverage the club has suffered this season, it's been consistantly wide of the mark. Everyone has an opinion, problem is most of them are from the ill informed. yep, and yet everytime one of these stories come up I have to have the same conversation with my mates saying exactly that while there clubs get none of this shit burnley are to small time blackburn are too stable and dull and otherwise I have fucking spurs and united supporting mates
  7. you can write and you already spell better than most of those idiots the thing that always gets me about most sports journos is that they have never been involved in the sport they write about in any way other than sports journoing, without direct quotes/access to the people they are writing about are they really any more informed than any of us?
  8. and slightly confused by the whole situation What being at Middlesbro'? I would imagine so
  9. if ashley gets rid he's gunna be in a lot of shit
  10. No more top 4 rejects please, for reasons I have outlined before.... so we should just not take anyone who isn't top 4 starting line up quality? that's basically all a top 4 reject is except they were considered good enough at some stage
  11. I wouldn't for mcgeady based purely on the price that was being knocked around for him
  12. I be pretty pleased with that, i don't think the Lb/Rb positions are desperate for players and could wait 'til jan or even another season but the first 5 would be good
  13. does he not understand that when a club tries to sell you they don't want you to play for them anymore?
  14. Do us a favour Shola - fuck off..... oh ffs, does the lad not get it?
  15. and slightly confused by the whole situation
  16. we'd need to get him a shirt that fits though
  17. just been looking at this weekends fixtures and I think reading are staying up, derby away birmingham have blackburn at home which i think they'll lose fulham have portsmouth away which I think they'll lose even though portsmouh have been poor lately they really are now playing for a place in the FA cup final
  18. Like all of them apart from pennant who i feel would be more trouble than he's worth, dyeresc in some ways and I just don't rate huddlestone for some reason As a person I think he'll be a cunt but our squad is to small if we want to challenge for europe and he would do a job. I think maybe going abroad for a winger would be a better option, pennant will be overpriced because he's english and out wide you aren't in as much of the physical stuff as you are in the middle where players from abroad often need quite a while to adapt to the prem

  20. Van buyten the new philippe albert? he's already 30, no thanks, Kompany though... and I agree with Gloom on the Cisse matter
  21. it'll be a strange day when a player leaves a club because it's unstable and comes to us
  22. one of the worst films ever made possibly the worst and most obvious troll attempt ever made
  23. Makes some fair points, don't think he's having a go and Ashley and Mort though. yeh, when you see it in the course of the interview he seems to be pointing more to the fact that chelsea are excellent and a long long way ahead rather than complaining he's not got enough to spend in summer
