Chez is going to go OFF IT!! A minor indiscretion
-
Haha sorry i went a bit overboard there. Partdeux is good, i was aiming for the gerard depardieu angle with an extra x on the end for added french points photoshopped pic of pardew armed with a bagette and beret to follow...
-
Its a made up name u prick! Which means ill spell it how i see fit. And i fail to see how you "boss that shite" with a 'clever' french / english play on the name of an Aston Villa player who has no association whatsoever with France. Sort it out!!!

Surely i cant be the only one to think this thread isnt in keeping with the spirit of the toon. It was a cock up, we still won, end of story! I think Williamson especially needs a vote of confidence at the mo instead of this nonsense.

I missed the match today, can someone tell me what exactly the formation was? HBA looked a long way away from the left wing for the first goal
-
we have done rather well out of all this, chelsea drop 3 pts, liverpool drop 3 points, spurs drop 2 which could be important later for our euro aspirations.

pretty interesting stuff there.
-
No, not really. If you really must point the finger, point it at Obertan for breaking up attacks by giving the ball away, or Cabaye for his non performance. HBA put a decent shift in again. As has been stated they are one of the best passing sides in Europe, hence the low posession, look what they just did to AC Milan.
-
calling them names isnt going to help, we were outclassed plain and simple. Obertan and Cabaye were non existent in the midfield, Obertan was just Obertan, running around like a headless chicken, Cabaye hasnt played well in months. No doubt he puts the work in but his once excellent passing and creative is becoming a distant memory. I would have subbed him for Guthrie and Obertan for Vucic. The Santon substitution puzzled me as i thought he did ok against Walcot, Perch was good when he came on though. Williamson must have been given the hairdryer at half time. he was scooping everything up after the break. Simpson was good tonight. Its a shame but they did play better. The central midfield problem has to be addressed though, and fast.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN5aRlDnc3I nice a few funny comments too, richardson buying a manhole cover for his arse lol
-
i think he was actually close to the touchline. he wrong footed 2 defenders by rolling the ball out, then back, then out again then. It was actually unbelievable.
-
Exactly, his little sidestep that we have seen him do would beat the fullback even from a static start 90% of the time, and of course his left peg is deadly. i think they should be rotated in fact depending on wether the team has center halves that are more suceptible to through balls (HBA on left, Jonas on right) or crosses (the opposite)
-
theres no doube he is a makeshift player when in the full back role but I think he is no worse at defending than Simmo, and has the edge over him going forward.
-
i agree, but i would be inclined to put him at right back. When HBA/Obertan needs to play the ball back down the line at the mo its a waste because simpsons crossing is horrendous. Raylor can cross a good ball in. Either that or switch HBA to the left so he can whip the fast balls in with Santon behind him, Jonas can babysit Simmo on the right wing, he is after all right footed

Newcastle United vs Dirty Inbred Mackems (Sunderland)
Alain Pardeiux replied to Aeris's topic in Newcastle Forum
phew! why cant we be that positive all the time? even before the sending off we looked the better team. Tiote looked tired form the midweek game. HBA playing like a man possessed at times. Cabaye was very poor again, but despite the negatives of not capitalizing on the sending off/penalty etc im happy with the draw.. it could have been much worse the way MON has Sunderland playing and they did make it very hard for us to break them down. -
some flashes of total brilliance today by hba i have to say.
-
can anyone remember what position he was playing when he tore everton to shreds last year?

Newcastle United v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Alain Pardeiux replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Cabaye started the season with a bang and has been getting steadily worse. He was anonymous today. As usual the oppositions joy seemed to come from our right flank, Simpson and Williamson need to improve. HBA, although he didnt do that much individually seemed to introduce a spark of life to the team and if the match had of gone on i have no doubt we would have won. I get the distinct feeling that Pardew is messing about with his tactics and hoping it all works out in the end. Playing the way we did in the forst half of the season no longer works as our weaknesses have been found out. Time for something new, and i say thats a 4-3-3. Watching newcastle is a tad depressing these days, we dont seem to have the ability to overwhelm teams, or even control the game with a 2 goal gap. -
Which players who we have sold would get in our team now??

Scott Parker! -
it was to be expected, with the players they have. Hopefully hes not too knackered when he comes back

Obertan: Earths' gravity is no match for him.
Alain Pardeiux replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Obertan had some good general play and passes today, he got himself in some great positions out on the flank, but as usual, indecision cost the strikers a good delivery. He is so frustrating to watch, 50,000 fans urging him to get the early ball and what does he do? stop dead and let the opposing defence regroup. -
Thay should just let his dog keep the money, he can split it with his pet donkey.
