  1. With the makems above us,Ellis Short can feel safe with reference to have a meal on the quayside without the fear of being glassed by a makem fan.
  2. You find the odd makem who is reasonable with his views on his club but then he joins a few of his makem mates and logic goes out the window.Every signing they make is a good one.The two they have just signed have met their approval yet not one makem will have seen them play.if they have a good debut ,they are then classes as being good players.Remember how they rejoiced when Brucey became their manager. This was down to the fact they thought he had chosen them over us.His management record suggested mediocrity at best, yet he was the new makem messiah. The last messiah ( Stokoe) had a statue erected in his honour ,and rightly so,because his last major acheivement was taken them down to the old 3rd division. Kevin Ball is another hero and he took them down as well. And as for St Niall Quinn, the makem drink-drive chairman, who regularly suggested he was the biggest makem supporter ever, hasn't been seen anywhere near the sos since he got the push. After 6 years as a makem player,he decided to accept a testimonial so the fans could cough up money for a childrens ward at a makem hospital .He put nowt in but it is his name that is on the building.Chosing the Republic of Ireland as the opposition did his chances no harm with reference to his inclusion in the 2002 world cup squad ( he went to the world cup as a 35 year old has-been ,so his plan worked because the game was used as a warm-up for the competition ).Like i said, they are not like us.
  3. Just passing on my views and the views of some smb. They ARE different to us.Gabbiadini,on Radio Newcastle was talking about the Bolton game and said that the makems had 3 of their `big' players missing in Larsson,O'She and Fletcher, hence the poor performance/result.John Anderson pointed out that Bolton had 6 missing.Gabbiadini replied `But we're not talking about the opposition'.Like i said, they are not like us.If you don't know this, you don't know any or have never heard their nonesense.
  4. The makems hopes at the start of every season is 1.....to beat us at the sos .2........to beat us SJP .3............not to get beat of us .4........to finish above us. 5 not to get relegated. I know makems who would accept a relegation/beating NUFC double. That's why they are smb.
  5. A small squad may be fine as long as the squad does not include Ranger,Spiderman,Williamson, both Ameobi brothers and that useless baldy bloke we got from Man Utd.
  6. I know the `Top Dog's ' title/award was starting by the smb and they take this `award' extremely serious,if they finish or look like finishing as `Top Dogs'.They have been known ( when they don't finish above us ) to distance themselves from this `award' and even accuse us of starting this `award'. I like finshing above the unwashed but it doesn't make or break my season.
  7. I'd rather finish 15th and place or two below the makems after a season where we have played in europe, than above them having not played in europe.
  8. Is the wad for his Monaco account, which is in his dogs name
  9. So no cup/league double for the makems. And there's me thinking their two new signings were going to be the final pieces of their jigsaw. At the start of the game against Bolton there were less than 100 Bolton fans in the sos.By the end there were fewer than 100 makem fans in the sos. Possibly the biggest example of fickleness in British football.
  10. I like my WW2 stuff.Operation Bulbasket was a disaster for the SAS.The most SAS killed on any mission.Read.. Operation Bulbasket by Paul McCue.I've visited Oradour a number of times.642 villages murdered by the Das Reich SS Division and the village has been left since the tragedy. It's only a few miles from Limoges airport. The site where Violette Szabo landed on her second mission and the site of her arrest are 30 mins south of Limoges.
  11. Buying a family size tent soon so the odd night at Beadnell then a trip down to monkey world in Dorset followed by WW2 sites in the middle of France ( Oradour-sur-Glane,Violette Szabo and SAS Operation Bulbasket )
  12. I'm sure i read on a makem site that he was arrested outside the sos a few months ago.Unless it was a different bloke.
  13. If this new french striker we are going to buy does not score 10 goals this season i can easily see us going down.It could all depend on how we do against the teams who are currently below us.We still have to visit QPR,Villa and Wigan.
  14. I haven't been to ground for a few years but does he still hoy them at you if you hoy your tanner to him.He was always walking back and forwards on the cinder track in front of the Gallowgate.
  15. Wasn't he involved with Freddy Shepherd/NUFC as the official/unofficial `Supporters Spokesman' at one time .Hence his reluctance at the time to criticise our once chairman.
  16. Reference the Ameobi brothers, both predictable in the sense that they can do the odd canny thing with the ball but usually do nowt with it.Shola stands out for his `ability' to infuriate me to the point where i nearly swear.I have been watching us since the early 60s and no one,i repeat,no one has come close to bettering his moments of buffoonery at times.
  17. Hiding behind the wall lessons his chances of saving free kicks. As for Anita for the 1st goal.He looked prepared to charge down the ball then decided retreating quickly was the best option to block the kick.Cowardice i call it.When the opposition player is taking his run-up to put a free kick into our box,why does Krul allow the defenders to backpeddle at pace towards our goal.He should be insisting they stay on the edge of the box till the ball is kicked.
  18. For the free kick he pushed around the post.He positioned himself directly behind the wall which gave him no view whatsoever of the ball and where it was going until it passed the wall. For the 1st Everton goal he did the same. The ball was well inside the post but Krul gave himself no chance of reaching it.Anita should be docked his wages for his actions for the 1st goal.He positions himself perfectly to attempt to charge down the ball, but then decides to retreat like a makem facing a hot bath as Bains runs to take the free kick.Cowardice plain and simple. When the opposition have free kicks wide right and wide left, why does Krul allow the defence to retreat before the ball is kicked to within 10 yards from goal.Sunday morning keepers would tell the defence to stay on the edge of the box and to stay there until the ball has been kicked.Basics of being a keeper,or they should be.
  19. He decided to position himself so he couldn't track the overlapping player. If he'd wanted to he could have left a bit indecision in the players mind who had the ball.He reminds me a bit like Jenas. He can be neat on the ball but then does nowt with it.I don't know whether they were told to do it but both he and Santon were tucking in,leaving the City forwards the time and space to get around the back.,receive the ball, and square it into the danger area. The Citeh forwards seemed to stroll around throughout the game and still find acres of space.
  20. He gives himself absolutely no chance to cut off the overlapping player ( on purpose ) then decides walking towards our goal is better than running .
  21. So we should sell one left sided player who scores very few and makes even fewer for another
  22. Jonas 2008/9 Games 23 Goals 0 Assists 3 2009/10 Games 34 Goals 4 Assists 7 2010/11 Games 34 Goals 3 Assists 4 2011/12 Games 37 Goals 2 Assists 3 2012/13 Games 15 Goals 0 Assists 0 Remember how easy it is to be rewarded an assist. My only defence for him is that he is playing on the left, which is his weaker side.
  23. They are discussing whether to chuck-in their season tickets and go through stub hub for £10 match tickets. One clown said that you cannot get two tickets together. That's strange because there are 10,000 empty seats every game.
