Nobby was a joy to watch.Like Pedro,he would put 'bottom' on his passes which would hold the ball up when approaching the player waiting to receive the ball. -

We seemed to go through a spell when we signed centre forwards who were gash.Rob McDonald,Ray Clarke,Billy Rafferty,Mavis Riley,Tony Cunningham,Billy Whitehirst,Justin Fashanu,Franz Pingle.Maybe it was a long period but I remember they were all shite with Whitehirst the best of that load of gash.Oh and Andreas fuckin Andersson -

Maric.i cannot remember him doing anything against us but we signed him because of what he did against us.Another player who was lightweight, soft as shite and totally unsuitable for English football.Same as Viana,Jon Dahl and Cabella and Thauvin -

It does make a playmakers job easier if he has a bloke in front of him making runs.

When I knew I'd be docked 15 mins for being a minute late I always headed for a 14 min cup of coffee in the canteen. -

`league clubs' as in proper leagues.Beardsley came from Vancouver Whitecaps, great signing mind and Given was £1.5m.Marveaux at i think £500,000.What a bargain. -

Sorry,i thought the discussion was about players past and present who played for us and are playing for us in the Premier League, and tactics and team selection for NUFC in the current Premier League season. -

10 seasons 44 goals for us and a few of those in the old second division.Pound for pound i'd say Lee and Vennison have been our best buys from other league clubs, otherwise you'd have to put Waddle in there. You won't know this of course but our defensive record in the Prem when Keegan was in charge was nowhere near as bad as the so called experts make out. Gillespie tackled when getting back.I never said Ginola tracked back.Yes Batty was a defensive midfield player,i knew that of course, and there the comparison with Colback ends.Lee was never totally an attacking midfield player, more a probing player who would start attacks from midfield by feeding the more gifted players in the team,so very rarely scored for us and not many assists.Again you are coming across as someone who hasn't much idea about football or who has only attended a few football matches. -

Batty and Lee could defend.Gillespie could and would track back.Beardsley would and could track back. You don't really know much about football do you. -

I've worked for companies who have docked pay for being either a minute late of clocking off a minute early.Seems fair to me.
