This is where you struggle. People are always going to discuss Mike Ashley's credentials because, like it or not, he's our owner. Giving him praise when and where it's due (and sometimes, rarely, it is..) doesn't mean somebody needs to be called 'chum' and told to come back with said praise once Mike has averaged out a fifth best over a given period (That's a very, very selective stat to use by the way - we won NOTHING ).

It was obvious that he was never going to be signing. Whenever a player does sign it's usually unexpectedly announced. Every time they tell us they're planning it they never sign And the shit about being offered a 5 year contract... we're supposed to just believe that they're going against the precedent that they've already set with Barton and Nolan last year, both of those were younger than Colo too I think. It's definitely not exclusively Leazes but I think it's a case of many being dragged down to his level by his persistent digs in almost every thread. The casual ticket-buyer was always likely to miss yesterdays imo. Early kick off, televised game and a fair few of them will have just forked out £45 for a sunderland ticket. If anything our crowds are generally on the up after the relegation slump... People obviously don't fully trust those in charge at the club and if that repairs (recent transfer window will have helped a bit) we should continue to see the crowds rise. There's always a kick in the bollocks just around the corner with these lot though so...

Why even support us if you can't have belief in the team from this position. Where's the thrills? Dropping back to 7th after 38 games will be a disappointment for me personally... we've done it over 23 games so why not over another 15? Early kick off + baltic weather = shit atmosphere.
