Aye, we were standing outside the pub at Fulham and Matt (I think it was) pointed out that the good citizens of west London must be absolutely gutted when we sing "We hate Cockneys and we hate Cockneys"

This is where SMO or Wacky suggests that you curl out a "yule log" on her desk.
-
Well that was worth quitting Northern Ireland for.
-
Sometimes you make me feel like I'm living at the edge of the world.
-
Work thought I was off today, but I rather foolishly informed them of their mistake. Not that they've sent me anything to do yet, so long may that continue.

Bloody foreigners, coming over here with their work ethic...
-
It really was. Reaction in the pink press was mostly along the lines of "next you'll be telling us Elton John's a bit that way".

The "which of the fellas would you punch first?" game is still a favourite at dinner parties chez Meenz.

i wanted to be a lorry driver and a chef At the same time? aye. i couldn't decide between the two so wanted to drive a lorry during the day before cooking up a storm at night You could have had the best of both worlds and worked in catering at a service station.

Lovely girl, shocking taste in men though.

Should be an easy enough win for her, I'd have thought.

Did you sit or stand to wipe, or a mixture of both? If he could even stand to walk after the 7th one, I'm fairly impressed.
-
And even more belated wishes from me.

Double Herzlichen Glückwunsch all round!

I could've written that first post word-for-word really (changing the place names, obviously ). Except I probably had even less of an accent to start with.

R.E.M. - Automatic For The People I'd forgotten how decent the non-singles from this are.

Rascal Flatts - Bless The Broken Road

Religious choon-wise, I love hearing a decent choir have a go at "O Holy Night". As for Christmas pop, it may have become fashionable to sneer at it (though now that Sima's in on the trend, I'm sure it'll swiftly become unfashionable again), but I'll hear nowt against "Fairytale Of New York". Special mention for Tony Ferrino's "Bigamy At Christmas", naturally.

Born into it, obviously. I remember being well jealous of SMO's dad's press box gig. It seemed like the height of sophistication at the time.

Echoed from me. This is the sort of thing the LARPers love. You've really got it in for the LARPers, haven't you? Did one of them cast a "miniaturise" spell on your willy or something?

Is this transfer is a step in the right direction or a tragedy I'd say it's better best forgotten.
