Second semi-final is on BBC Three tonight, incidentally, and it's the one the UK can vote in. It starts with Finland, who've thawed out The Rasmus for the occasion, then proceeds via a Serbian Mystic Meg singing about health insurance and Meghan Markle's hair, and a gender-bending junkie rocker from San Marino riding a bucking bronco. After that things start to get a bit weird...

Haven't heard of it, but most months are no-mow months here, if only through sheer laziness. I quite like letting things grow a bit wild, but I grow plenty of lavender and other pollinator-friendly stuff anyway so I'm not going to feel guilty about brutalising my lawn every now and then. Even in May.

Speaking of the European version, we've recently had this through our door, in the taxpayer-funded mayoral candidate overview leaflet. I should be offended at the suggestion that I'm not safe to be allowed around kids, but I'm more amused by the fact that the candidate, the delightful Maureen Martin, sees fit to put this as one of her six priorities for Lewisham specifically. "Youth outreach, help for local businesses, tell everyone that the gays are wrong, stop fly-tipping..."

That's it, yep. We went up Pyg and down Llanberis, which was definitely a good combination. I felt sorry for the poor buggers slogging all the way up Llanberis - it may be shallower but it seems unthrilling. Even had time for half an hour at the National Slate Museum before getting the bus back. Fascinating stuff.

Doing a 10k on the streets of central London with Friday's Snowdon hike still in my legs. Seemed like a good idea when I signed up. 😒
