Hurrah, the countries represented by the Grauniad's two best bloggers are in the final. My middle-class leftie heart beats happily tonight.

I hope you're being sarcastic. Then again, it won't affect the city your team are from, where employing anyone would be a first. Move to the modern age, this law has been in place in Europe for years ... you island monkeys (as you are commonly known as in Europe) are so far behind it`s unreal. Only in German-speaking countries I'd have thought?

Saw her/them in concert in April - works much better live than in studio IMHO, it comes across as far more playful and vibrant. Still a canny album though, as you say.

That seems reasonable enough to me really. If they have a "no nudity" policy then you're not going to risk your job by going against that, no matter how innocent the request. Other Cake Shops May Exist...

Blanket on her lap and a hipflask of gin hidden in her knitting.

Makes sense. I wouldn't risk having a mob of Portsmouth chavmothers descend on my doorstep brandishing "PEODOPHILS OUT" placards just for kicking a ball back in the park or something.

I always love it when Stevie posts his MSN conversations. Besides, Newcastle's figure of 19.53% isn't exactly anything to write home about.

I always knew that Lahm kid would come good, even as he's become more angular and less jailbait.

Aye, howay the Jormans. Finish them off in 90 minutes and I'll be a happy bunny.

There'll be more than a few people who had money on Djokovic to win the whole thing mind. Cracking result for Safin.

Could be worse, could have been Country House. Aye. I suppose ultimately Blur won the battle, Oasis won the war, then Blur enjoyed a successful period of demilitarisation, peace and prosperity while Oasis remained entrenched. Or something.

Doomed to forever be the sound of sunny days in '94 and '95.

No. I can just imagine how funny the rest of that sites content is I agree as scenarios go it is the worst case one, but don't imagine for a minute the Americans haven't evaluated that one. Unfortunately they likely used the GPS coordinates for Mongolia, or Peterborough. And how would anyone notice the effects of a global military campaign in either of those places?

I'm still waiting for him to break out into it in real life. Though I suppose that'd be as strange as me putting on a Mainz accent when talking to him in German.

Sorry, I was just expressing my preference. Otherwise it's too sweet for me. I'd have lime juice rather than lime cordial as well. How man, I never said cordial How man, here man Can't imagine you saying that like I'm a different person in cyberspace, darling. Just like Wolfgang with his cyber-Geordie twang Hey, at least I've got a birthright

Sitges is fairly rainbow-striped and that's nearby, I think. Sounds horrendous mind. It's meant to be quite nice actually. I take it that means there's a life outside the gay bit. Sounds less horrendous all of a sudden.

Cracking with vodka and a slice of lime though. Thats nearly a Moscow Mule isn't it? Aye, more or less. I'm not posh enough to have Angostura bitters around the place though.
