It was added at the LA Olympics and the Americans have been rather successful at it over the years. "Go figure".

They used to have solo synchronised swimming, too. Is that not in it anymore? How the fuck does that work anyway? I assume it's effectively a gymnastic floor routine in the water. I'm proud to say I've never bothered to find out. I know that man Then you already know more than me.

You'd have to chop off hands and remove voiceboxes and stuff like that too. Possibly also gouge out eyes. Chemical castration doesn't necessarily remove the urges. That's what I said.

Best of luck to her. The cynicism may be harsh but one day she might realise that she's earned it all herself.

Depends. Newcastle's population doesn't include dole scum or anyone remotely reproachable, so his tender brain might not be able to cope.

Bollocks. If anything Baddeley "went" - i.e. positioned himself 6th rather than last - too early. Still, good to have anyone vaguely world class in an event we used to dominate.
-
OK, I'll try the jinx thing again. Andy Baddeley hasn't a fucking hope of sneaking a bronze against those meddling Africans.

Brilliant interview with the high jump fella just now. Rough paraphrase: "Andrey, are you surprised you only had to jump 2.36 to win?" *dumb silence* "Andrey, 2.36 was enough to win it. Are you surprised?" *shorter dumb silence* "2.36....." "Andrey, you jumped 2.36 and won the gold. Did you expect to have to jump higher?" "Er.... yes." *walks off*

Aye, you knew she'd have the usual kick over the last 100m, but once she was basically ahead halfway down the home straight I think even she was wondering what the fuck was going on. Class.

Silver at best I'd have thought. Fingers crossed though. AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA

Just watching the lovely Isinbayeva get her gold medal on Eurosport. Oh for a national anthem as stirring as the Russians'.
-
Fantastic shock result that. The jumps can be good for that kind of thing, the women's long jump is wide open after Gomes fucked up qualification. You can't exactly showboat Bolt-style in events like that.
-
Silver for Germaine Mason in the high jump. Didn't see that one coming!

Well since I've already ostracised myself as a Nimrod fan, I might as well add that Ixnay On The Hombre is clearly Offspring's best album.

"United" fan trying to defend all the glory supporters they get

You're no more of an out of towner than Bobby Robson. We're on about people who don't have batter on their chips out of towners here. That's a fine distinction actually. -
To be honest if you had to chose what you have to take as your last three of anything, you'd spend all the time you have to chose those three "of" items shagging yourself stupid. Because be sure if you can't rent a dvd at this place, then you have fuck all chance of find someone other than yourself to play with your cock. I don't think you want to waste a choice on porn. Depends if you have a reasonably active imagination, I suppose.

What a load of dribbling shite! Really, what have I said that's wrong? You didn't say it in a Geordie accent and there weren't enough mistakes. -
Again neatly side-stepping her achievements in other non-remunerated marathons and other track events over the years. And you're shockingly naive if you honestly believe an Olympic win doesn't equal £$, albeit indirectly. Have you watched any of the BBC's Olympic coverage at all? It's been a wall-to-wall cycling wankfest, for a start, and quite rightly so. And the athletics commentators are more than up-front about our poor crop of medal contenders this year, Injured Saint Paula included.

Fosters basically tastes of nowt. Carling tastes of Carling.

The Eurosport trackside interviewer is wery German, yes?
