I've always been quick to defend the notion that, the law notwithstanding, you can be both "underage" and consensual - I can't be the only person on here who was, after all - but there's a lot about this case that has never quite sat right. (And I'm not just talking about the lass after he was finished with her.) It's going to be very interesting to see how this plays out, if it ever really does.

I always thought 8 Out Of 10 Cats showed Dave Spikey up to be a bit of a comedy charlatan. All he ever did was answer questions with "Is it [something obviously wrong]?" so that he could deliver a bit of his stand-up routine about that subject.

I suppose it's not so long ago that Trochowski and Podolski would have been good German names anyway. To be fair, it's not as if the handful of players with a Turkish background in the German squad is in any way different to the handful of players with, say, an Afro-Caribbean background in the England squad. They just have more obviously "different" names to your Schmidts and Kuntzes.

Because this argument certainly isn't as dull and boring as the original post.
