  1. The one who thought he was using a typewriter but then it turned out he was just inCRED ibly short-sighted? Yes.
  2. Except Terry, who'll get booed by his own fans and play below-par throughout, but Capello won't drop him because he feels guilty about stripping him of the captaincy in response to the demands of a couple of tabloids and the retards who listen to them. Definitely worth the effort though. Definitely.
  3. Which is Rio according to the Beeb. Terry will be captain in all but name, he just wont have to face every England press conference, where the Bridgeys wife questions will certainly be on the agenda.. Even better. The sine qua non of pointless knee-jerk actions can't be far away, though. Let's keep working on it...
  4. Anyone who thinks the captaincy of England is important is a fucking cock, Capello included.
  5. I'd venture that installing solar panels across the entire country and importing all our meat, fruit and veg would work out more cost-efficient than using the same land for agricultural purposes. Bit less pretty on the eye, admittedly. Of course, the present and next government would prefer us to accept the prospect of inhabiting high-rise matchboxes with a supposed market value of £150k+ and precisely no quality of life, which makes the issue of personal responsibility for efficient roof space usage somewhat less important, but there you go.
  6. We'll never win the World Cup as long as we're obsessed with who's captain and whether they have the moral integrity for the role. Footballers are fucking idiots and always have been. What happened to worrying about what happens on the pitch?
  7. OK, fine, I'll bite - if only because it's Friday afternoon, I'm bored and my curiosity is getting the better of me. So. I realise it's only the Internet and you've been careful to never give any insight into why your opinions might be worthy of any kind of credibility - but, purely as far as your adopted persona on here is concerned, I can only see two realistic scenarios to explain your behaviour, and they are: 1) You know that your constant references to the Halls and Shepherd wind people up and you honestly don't give a shit because you're only here on the wind-up, other people's responses to your posts on everything from football to Muslims don't bother you in the slightest, and you could give up this forum at the drop of a hat; or 2) You honestly don't realise that your constant, knee-jerk harping on about the Halls and Shepherd actually damages the impact of every single other post you make on here, no matter how valid its content may be. So which is it? I'm honestly fascinated. And not just because I want to drool over your cock in the showers.
  8. Aye, this is what I'm saying though. I've spent tons of time in the former Yugoslavia and their "let's take advantage of the benefits of being theoretically Eastern European without actually aligning with the Soviet Union" approach was clearly the way to go (though if everyone had tried it, you have to assume even the creaking mechanisms in Red Square would have spotted the downsides eventually). Then again, as soon as Tito died the whole thing started to spiral towards the ultimate payoff of Srebrenica and similar, while East Germany ended up being bankrolled by the West - so maybe alignment with the Evil Empire wasn't such a horrendous idea in the first place.
  9. Tenner says you cant back this up with evidence. Twenty says you've been pwned. aye, you can't get more senior than that. I'm surprised the usual culprits didn't dispute it mind ....... Fucking hell man. Stevie makes a good point then you come along and destroy it by making a statement that's equivalent to "You can't get more senior in the UK than Nick Clegg". With cyber-allies like you, who needs cyber-enemies? I have no cyber allies. I'm the board equivalent of Rambo. Who would you say your cyber allies are? I don't cyber-think I cyber-have any. I've tried to cyber-look at Leazes' cock often enough but he's having cyber-none of it.
  10. An interesting interpretation by wornfree.com
  11. Just did a bit of googling and one of the first hits is this: Skirge

    Rap.....

I borrowed it to jam in Jedward's cold, cold heart(s).

  14. Well now that clearly depends on the shopper in question.
  15. "And now from Germany, we move to Poland... that's been done before." Ken Bruce, Radio 2 commentary on the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest.
  16. Now that's clearly just cheating.
  17. Couldn't tell you which one exactly, but the better half just got a Lumix and he's dead happy with it so far, so what they all said, basically.
  18. I'd never do it unless I was stocking up on tinned goods or booze or something that's difficult to carry, but then I live 15 minutes' walk from a Tesco and a Sainsbury's, and two pairs of hands is enough to drag a fortnight's shopping back home. If I was somewhere less supermarket-friendly and I didn't have a car, I'd definitely consider it, even at the expense of not being able to inspect the fruit and veg before you buy it etc. etc. Around here, though, it really is pure laziness.
  19. Interesting to see NaziPope wading into this country's internal affairs today. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8493280.stm
  20. I quite like her, like I do any politician who's not afraid to speak their mind these days, but she's always been prone to saying whatever will make her popular at any given place and time. No different to Blair and his cronies in that respect, I suppose, albeit at the other end of the spectrum. I wouldn't confer a great deal of credibility on her, though.
  21. I found St Pauli a bit different tbf. English football could use a Pauli or two, certainly. Although you could argue there's just as much conformity in the whole skull 'n' crossbones "alternative" thing.
  22. What pisses me off most of all about the Keegan thing is people sneering at us for being "emotional" and "irrational" in our opinions of the man. It's football for fuck's sake, it's supposed to be about the emotional and the irrational, not analysing percentages in the fucking Tactics Truck.
  23. Totally agree, average, even for this division, sums up ambition and aspirations. Well what are we supposed to do??? Boo the cunt? Surely that's going to make the situation worse? Aye, and what you said about the 50% boost an ordinary player can get from the crowd is spot on too. Trouble is he's joining us at a time when people are particularly underwhelmed with what's going on. Hope he makes a good start so the usual whingers don't have an excuse to get straight on his back.
  24. Trans-Siberian Express and an industrial quantity of vodka!
  25. Big boots for a new lad to step into I suppose (Oba doesn't count).
