You shouldn't be so dismissive of those "wasted votes", they're what'll win you a bunch of Lab-Con marginals. Of course, as always, if everyone who says they'd vote for the Lib Dems if they didn't think it was a wasted vote actually voted for them...

Blurdy hell. I know he's only got himself to blame for squandering what he had, but still.
-
Independent were Lib Dem last time round, so I don't see why that would change now. Interestingly, the Guardian have come out for the Lib Dems too, albeit with a tactical voting caveat (and they give Labour a decent kicking along the way): http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/20...moment-has-come

Simples!

An interesting read, if you can get beyond the innuendo-tastic headline.
-
I was going to highlight individual :lol:s, but there are far too many.

That's how it works.

There's been a lot of talk about this being the first "social networking election", the year the power started to shift away from the newspapers (and particularly the tabloids), etc. etc. And you just know the printed press will get more and more militant in their approach over the next week. It'll be really interesting to see which way things shift next Thursday.
-
Thought Clegg had a much better second half. Polls will come out for Cameron and give the Tories a boost, it's just a question of whether it lasts until next Thursday.
-
That's all he's got left now. It's particularly pathetic when he responds to a point made by Clegg by attacking Cameron. Cameron's started this one well actually, despite his freakily shiny chin. Clegg was strong on income tax just now though.

Congratulations, it's an Asda frozen chicken!

We all know you'll jiust vote for the best looking one. I wouldn't mind, but I am, and she's a lass.

This country is a joke.

Not saying you're being paranoid, but I don't think he's trying to score out-of-towner points here, Leazes. Lewisham Deptford here, for what it's worth. Outside the big three, we've got a Green who thinks he has a chance but doesn't, plus a Socialist Alternative candidate (two of their five local councillors nationwide are in this constituency) and a Christian Peoples Alliance nutjob.
-
Well, compared to Cameron he pretty much is actually. What would have happened if Cameron and Osbourne had let the banks collapse? Sorry, I should have clarified: the line needs to be that it's a bit rich positioning yourself as the great rescuer when you were complicit in creating the problem and exposing the country to the global crisis to a massive extent in the first place.

I hope this doesn't distract the debate tomorrow night from focusing on the key issue, i.e. the bare-faced lie that is "Brown as economic saviour".
-
Same thing in Newcastle with the Lib Dems, I suppose, though I think Newcastle North will go yellow this time. Probably not the others though.
-
I wouldn't mind, but the local council wards are safe Green too. The only vote this year where I have any kind of power is for the elected Mayor of Lewisham. And he doesn't have much in the way of power, so...

It basically tells me to fuck off.

Ahh, Mount Ararat. The national symbol of Armenia and home of the gods in Armenian mythology. Even though it's in Turkey. Poor buggers.

This is going to sound thoroughly lame, but do look to see if there's a decent one for your neighbourhood/part of town. I say that only because the mung bean munchers around here run http://brockleycentral.blogspot.com/ and it's really rather good for what it is.

Gawsh, has this really not been mentioned yet? http://twitter.com/dianainheaven
