  1. Of course you know fine well the answer is a flat "no" on Hamilton's part too, he's just a better PR man. And, as you say, less rattled.

Chez has got me confused now. Happy birthday for this time last/next week, anyway.
  3. Newcastle United They're our team and they're rather spiffing Except when they're rubbish Which is quite often Lalalalalalalalalalala (repeat)
  4. nah, Sunday should actually be ok I'm staying with a well proportioned pal from this weekend for a while. Speaking of which, I don't suppose you have a car handy do you? 'fraid not - we had to draft in a friend from distant Twickenham when we moved last year, for much the same reason. Will give you a buzz on Sunday to see how things are going, we're off to a wedding-on-Tyne on Saturday but I'll be back in the big smoke by 5-ish Sunday and raring for some hawt Edinburgh preview action.
  5. Duly noted. Good luck and don't drool on yourself too much.
  6. Dare I ask how the flathunting is going, you old dubster, you? I was going to ask if you want to accompany me to see Richard Herring and a "special" guest at a comedy bar in Greenwich on Sunday night, but I imagine things may be somewhat on the hectic side at precisely that point in time...
  7. Kent - En plats i solen. Still going strong in Sveeden a decade after the miserable failure of their attempt to break out internationally...
  8. You don't know the half of it. The kid's a potential bunny-boiler and no mistake.
  9. That's one reason I can't really be arsed with festivals, mind (Nashville notwithstanding). Rather go and see the acts I really like in an environment where they're not just stickmen on the horizon. I know it's not just about the music, obviously.

Congratulations! You're now officially bumsex-legal in Cyprus.
  11. Fairyhouse Racecourse? "CAMP" is about right...
  12. If one/both of Lampard/Gerrard would be good enough to retire from international football, that would probably help him.
  13. Wouldn't mind checking this out but we've got a hawt date with the better half's grandparents that weekend. The lineup's pretty good every time though, so one of these years. http://www.thesagegateshead.org/whats_on/f...760842651436250
  14. Classy. One of the older posters on here recommends Carlsberg Special Brew as a cheap alternative to Belgian beer so you should give that a try. Wouldn't expect owt else of a lad of Kev's age though. If you're hitting the trappist monk beer and obscure quintuple-distilled Belarussian vodka at 16, you've got nowhere else to go and you end up wearing a blazer and turning into the Fish.
  15. It's doubly odd since McLaren have a genuine fight for the top spot whereas Alonso is clearly top dog at Ferrari. It's like he's creating distractions where there really don't need to be any.
  16. Took Nadal at 6/4 for the match when he lost the first set. Tennis treating me far better than the World Cup yet again.
  17. Different supermarket ! I've never tasted white lightning, is it nice? It is horrendous. Mixed with own-brand cola and own-brand blackcurrant squash, however, the sheer excess of cheapness starts to eat away at itself and ends up producing an acceptably efficient bucketful of cheap sense-devastator if you're sufficiently desperate to get away from the horror of your everyday life. So basically I'd leave it until after the interview before investigating further.
  18. Gary Neville in "talking a bit of sense" shocker http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/ju...d-fabio-capello
  19. Aaaaand it transpires Kevin got rejected for that supermarket job because he kept buying himself White Lightning during his OJE.
  20. Aye, commentators claiming the shock ofFederer going out put him off his game. Must be a shock for Murray, mind, winning his first few matches comfortably with no media attention at all then suddenly having the nation's sporting hopes pinned on him. I bet he'd rather the England football team had actually done well for once.
  21. Tsonga put Murray out in the first round of the Australian a few years back. It'd be just like a Plucky Britâ„¢ to go out now when he's got his best chance of winning it to date.
