Just read that Daily Mail link. Fuck me, this country is full of mongs with too much time on their hands.

The Diana Vickers album is canny and JLS have a couple of decent tunes, though their latest one was gash and they're a fucking disgrace to look at. As for the show, of course it's a load of manipulative cack. (And the lass - sorry, the mother - doing "Mercy" was using "her own arrangement", hence the vocoder [and it being heinously bad].) But anyone who's suckered in or gets wound up by it needs looking at too. You can tell three minutes out how each individual piece is going to pan out, because if the backing music starts up and it's something that has a big key change or final chorus, you know they're going to tie it in with Cowell looking sceptical then delivering the decisive "yes". I'm loath to say "IT'S ENTERTAINMENT STUPID", but really, if that's what entertainment has stooped to and you can't see through it and treat it as one big drinking game (dead relative sob story? shot! "this is all I've ever dreamed about"? shot! "you're very likeable"? down the bottle!), then more fool you.

That happens everyday when he gets out of the shower and looks down anyway - it's all relative. That's a fairly oblique way to talk about the top of his dad's head.

Depends if employers still buy into the urban myth about a 2:1 being better than a 1st because it proves you were capable of having a social life too.
-
Much as I'm flattered by the idea that I mask my intelligence to fit in, it's far clearer that I exaggerate my effeminacy to stand out. Don't tell anyone though.

By "closer to Death" do you mean that you know him from the Old Testament? Rob's already done the whole death thing. Dead before he hit the ground tbf.
-
Completely. Happened to me at university too. Possibly for the best, mind, as otherwise I might have ended up living in France.

A new laptop/netbook, by the looks of it, since the hard drive on my current one decided to implode last night.

It's fucked my bets for the night, but ROFLHAM LOLSPURZ all the same.

Ring them then.

I do hope you're recording it for subsequent DVD release.

As a Sigur Rós fan, I'm enjoying this new contribution to the genre: http://bit.ly/cBhi9k

I'd be amazed if they didn't appeal, but I'd be even more amazed if it got rescinded. C'est la vie, la.

Yeah, that's basically what I was saying, although it's impossible to ever know what "intent" there was behind any challenge really. But you've got to be aware that refs will see things a certain way. Not the easiest thing to control in the heat of the moment and when you're trying to impress on your debut (for all I hate to borrow a MOTD argument), but still, he's old enough to know a bit better.
-
Still disappointed Harewood's doesn't say "GOOMBA".
-
Didn't help that he launched into it on the back of a 10-yard sprint and lunge. I'm not saying that makes it more of a foul, but it makes the ref so much more likely to give it.

It's automatic based on your post count (unless it's been defaced like mine). I'd recommend posting more, but...

Jet Boy Intriguing lo-fi Canadian movie from the early 2000s that starts with a kid being forced to sell his body to fund his junkie mother's habit and develops into an improbable yet quite lovely road/buddy movie. Suffers a little from Cardboard Character and Cutesy Plot Twist syndromes at various points, but the lead performances more than keep it going. Broadly unavailable, unfortunately, unless you're willing to pay for an eBay knock-off or just download it illegally.

My record in the betting thread may be patchy, whether slavishly following Wally's advice or ploughing my own paths of doom, but I would have happily staked my life savings on you posting an Eminem song as your first contribution to this thread. That is all.

Started reading this and was sure it was going to continue "forum".

I found one here easily enough, but from what I've heard that was a lucky break, aye.

i don't know whats more embarassing, you being on the Eurovision forum or that users misinformed opinion I do, it's the former.
