My folks have got into the habit of going somewhere sunny for Christmas so I've celebrated it with the fella's family instead recently. Before that the only thing we did that was a bit out of the ordinary was a token nod to my mother's side of the family, i.e. a Swedish meal on Christmas Eve (and maybe opening a present or two). Other than that, your standard-issue forced family jollity and getting slowly sozzled in front of the telly.

This series was interesting. RealAudio (d'oh) files were playing up a bit the last time I tried, but still: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/science/5numbers.shtml http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/science/another5.shtml http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/science/further5.shtml

Britain is shit in many ways, which is what prompted me to move abroad in the first place. Turns out the rest of the world is shit too, which is what prompted me to move back.

What's the difference between a dictatorship like North Korea where the leader cannot be questioned by any means and a so called democracy where the leader cannot be questioned by any means? The difference is at least the Koreans have a sense of humour about it all: http://selebspy.wordpress.com/2010/09/28/l...of-north-korea/

Quoted from the Independent, but still, it's good to see it being reported even if it heaps pressure on us. Likewise the words from Robert, good to see he's not turned out bitter about us.

And as mentioned earlier: German league is on its head so far too. Where do we go for a decent league? Scotland and Russia?
