Tend to agree with Craig, I reckon Brundle works better as a no. 2 (though I don't like Coulthard which may have something to do with it). My opinion of James Allen has never recovered from this:
  2. Aye well, I wouldn't say she was hounded out of here or anything. Just got a bit of stick for her random sense of humour, decided it wasn't the place for her after all and stepped back without making a scene and went other places instead. I'm acting like her biographer here though so I'll stop now.
  3. Nowt to do with access either. Just helps if you're not a mong.
  4. Ryugyong Hotel, Pyongyang. Wiki article tells you all you need to know about it. As a forum post I once read put it, somehow the very angle of the walls is pure evil.
  5. Oh definitely, early pissup legend! </cliquetastic>
  6. Lou still is great. Got a raw deal from some of the Trent Posse, I'd say.
  7. Putting the early 90s gay club soundtrack to one side, this is still one of my favourite sporting head-to-heads.
  8. Legend. And the answer to your question is in your Saturday night Chinkys.

  11. I do wonder what happened to some of the proper punching-bag kids at my school like. I was a right swot and all but I was sharp enough to get away with it and (for all this is going to sound horrible) there were a few mummy's-boys who didn't have any kind of intellect or smarts to fall back on and frankly you just think how do they not get the metaphorical shit kicked out of them every way they turn in life.
  12. Tough is the life of the vocal lurvemaker with a stammer. "I'm g-g-gonna c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c...."
  13. New series of American Biggest Loser starts on Tuesday on one of the Living channels, too. It's better because they're fatter.
  14. Depends what you mean by invonvenient. I liked making sure they knew who I was and being a bit of an awkward beggar, but I wasn't going to suddenly put my hand up in the middle of double maths and start trying to smash the system, no.
  15. Polarisation, I think. You'd get more people claiming they're braver these days but also more people claiming they're daft because they know what they're getting themselves into.
  16. Basically as long as it's not Leazes' prize-fighter teenage daughter, I reckon you're fine.
  17. Aye I've said for ages that a burrito shop in the town would make a killing. The way they roll them up in foil when you take them away makes them perfect hand-warmers for cold nights out too. This is where a proper (i.e. not actually authentic but good) (i.e. German) kebab shop would be ideal too. Döner dürüm - a kebab wrap that actually tastes of something and doesn't fall apart when you try to eat it? Yes please. The kebabs here are in a different league. Whatever, we won the war. We won the battle. They won the kebab war.
  18. Bastid. Me and the fella have Parky's ideal age gap () and we've been together since I was 26 and he was 19, so it's not like it can't work. And aye I know there's a difference when it's us lot, but I reckon that part of the mechanism is pretty similar really.

  20. I think it'd be reasonable to say that during WW2 the majority of people saw the armed forces as "us" whereas now the majority of people see the armed forces as "them".
  21. Born on 11th September 2001 apparently. A tragic life from start to finish That stat is such an irrelevance. Really though. Terribly sorry for the poor lass, it's a horrible case and I hope the nutter responsible is brought to justice, but does that mean anyone born on 6 August 1945 (say) had a tragic start to their life too?
