I've got two best category tickets for The Big Game at Twickenham on December 27th, Harlequins vs. London Irish (plus pre-match entertainment from Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson, if that helps ), that I won in a competition but can't use due to being out of town. Was never too fussed about the Netherlands but went to Utrecht of all places the other month and it was class. Got too hammered on Duvel to go on the planned day trip to Amsterdam, mind, so I may be in the wrong thread here. Know what Stevie means though, it feels like a very "livable" place if you're a Brit who likes a touch of the continental. And obviously they all speak English which helps if you're only in town for a few days. And aye, definitely fly there.

Yo-yo club or not, Mainz are somehow still in second place at the halfway stage of the Bundesliga, albeit level with Leverkusen and 10 points behind the leaders Dortmund (whom I have a great deal of time for if only because of their former Meenzer manager Jürgen Klopp - I'll be amazed if he's not the German team boss within the next few years). What's more remarkable is that Mainz's record so far is 11-0-6 (to coin an Americanism) - i.e. 17 games down and not a single draw so far. I'm sure it's not a record, but it must be pretty unusual in the bigger leagues at least...

Bah. Cowards!
