I'm halfway up the hill from the big roundabout at the top of Lewisham, go up Loampit Vale to Lewisham Way and that's where I am basically. Know the One Bar pretty well, walk up Belmont Hill as part of my occasional Sunday constitutional via Blackheath then back through Greenwich Park and home. Small world like.

Didn't know you'd been round my way. There's some canny neighbourhoods (and pubs) near there, but central Lewisham itself is full of absolute scum. The shopping centre is actually canny, has most of what you'd need without having to go into central London, but the people man.

If I had a pub as my ava, it'd be this place in Mainz: ...if only for the Germanic inventiveness of calling an Irish Pub "Irish Pub". I believe there are still dents in the furniture from after Bellamy scored against Feyenoord.

I'm quietly happy. The parental drinks cabinet: making home life bearable since 1993. I jest (a little). Having a really nice few days back home. Seeing lots of people - smashing lunch at the Townhouse in Gosforth today , off round to friends in Wallsend tonight for pizza and mopping up the dregs of the Xmas/New Year drink mountain. Makes me appreciate being somewhere where it doesn't require much in the way of "planning" just to meet up with someone for a few hours, but then I'm sure if I lived here again I'd be a lazy cunt and catch up with people just as irregularly as I do dahn sahf. Back to work on Thursday, so you lot who've suffered today can point and laugh then.
