I remember the poor sod standing in for John Craven on Newsround who had to be the first on the BBC to break the news, and on kids' TV too. Not exactly 24-hour rolling news...

Nice analogy. Unfortunately mine's more of a multipack. Was going to hit the gym to watch Everton-Chelsea but apparently it's on ESPN and the ITV match isn't until later. Suppose I'd better go anyway.

Justin Townes Earle gig tonight at the Union Chapel. Supoib. Might have to cope with a couple of drinks in Camden beforehand though.
-
In the interests of balance, I should add that I'm off out for beers with friends afterwards. But I'm still more excited about the TV gameshow.

I'll take Australia, Chelsea and Man U tomorrow. £5 returns £38.

I'm going to see a recording of a TV gameshow.

Let me know when you are here. I shall. Assuming I resist the February temptation (and I will... probably), it should be the middle weekend of April. I'm sure we can squeeze in a quick slice of Törtchen at the Gnosa or something.

Must... fight... Olympisches Feuer cravings... (I have flights to Hamburg mid-February for an event that's been postponed to April. Easyjet, non-refundable. I'm tempted to come over just for an O-Feuer hit. )

Even forgotten/minor US comedies like Grace Under Fire fall into the same trap. Divorced single mother, recovering alcoholic, two kids, works as a mechanic - massive house in the burbs. Ho hum.

In an alternative reality, this anecdote continues "And then I noticed he was wearing Germany shorts...".

Always the sign of a good night out.

If it's not a vintage shopping mall in the basement, I don't want to know. http://www.scottsdalefashionista.com/barbr...n-her-basement/

Just ditch the bun, then it counts as a healthy protein-packed backstreet encounter. Just like you like it.
