  1. Surely that must be a foul or a pelanty or something
  2. Happy birthday m'dear. Hope it's lovely and relaxing and involves minimal on-ward gore and maximum pampering.

    Sorry for the hijack, Ally.

I've already got about £250 floating around the various markets and most of the countries haven't even chosen yet. No obvious winner out there yet though. Although the Germans have picked something a bit different (if you can get past the dodgy title) (and the incessant adverts before the clip starts) http://www.unser-song-fuer-deutschland.tv/...tialTab=related

I'll endeavour to leave the place intact. Will be there for two sodding weeks if I get press accreditation, so should at least have some tips for pubs and grub above and beyond the S&M-Keller.

I was there, but in 2003. For Eurovision. As such, any advice is unlikely to be stag-worthy.
  7. Saw them supporting Therapy? a few months ago. They seemed promising. I'm getting a lot of good new stuff from here of late: https://www.noisetrade.com/index.aspx
  8. This is a really good one for the fundamentals, too: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Good-Housekeeping-...3436&sr=8-1 Fewer photos of Jamie to fap yourself red-raw over, though.
  9. Daris: "For some reason I've always wanted to pull a semi."
  10. I remember that! "Little Miss Perfect". Him indoors quite likes it. Nuff said. That's the one, aye. I saw her in the pub once and she didn't wash her hands after going to the toilet. Perfect my arse! Well that is the point she makes if you'd bother to listen to the lyrics. Still having a wee giggle at the idea of Bobby Thompson going to school in Gosforth.

  12. Shearer, Robbie Elliott, Michael Chopra, Donna Air complete with SMO's spunk in her hair, Mark Knopfler, er... Michelle the bunny-boiler off of Big Brother...
  13. I'll see your Zevon and raise you Gil Scott-Heron.
  14. Tom Waits only started hitting his stride after 18 years or so. Mind, he's quite evidently not a band.

  16. It's not right in the City, it's between Liv Street and Old Street on City Road. Bars are pish round there I know. The area SE of Kings Cross is my least fav in Cent London tbh. To many black pimps walking round and dealers, then it just gets boring. Oh aye, there's not much around there. Go west and you've got some nice places like the Slaughtered Lamb on Great Sutton Street near(ish) Farringdon, go east and there's the Liverpool Street pubs like the Water Poet and the Magpie, but the area inbetween is a load of nothing much, as you say. Of course there's always the Overground from Shoreditch High Street to take you to the exciting extremes of New Cross.
  17. I'm pretty sure all Travelodges charge for wi-fi, though obviously that's not an issue if there's someone you can charge it to... Where's the location exactly? I don't know why I'm asking really, you know as well as I do that there'll be bars nearby if there isn't one in the hotel itself, it's London after all.
  18. If you can't afford the £6, here's the best moments condensed into one easy clip:
  19. National Lampoon's European Vacation is just starting on GOLD. I think I'm going to.
