Have to admit I've never fully understood why people who don't eat meat would want to eat something that's textured like meat.

An 870-calorie late-night snack? I hope you're sharing. (EDIT: Curses, beaten to it in the quest for accuracy!) Jonny, I'll stick the recipe up when I've got a mo - whether you're after it or not, it's a nice straightforward spice mix as a base for any kind of vegetable curry really.

Tonight was a chick pea, mushroom and spinach curry adapted from that Madhur Jaffrey book I mentioned a while back, wrapped up in flatbreads. Might sound daft, but even a little thing like the fact that her recipes use cayenne pepper rather than "regular" chilli powder really makes a difference to how they turn out - there's definitely more of a zip and a zing to them.
  4. The Pat & Mick reunion tour wasn't the same without the mullets (but they haven't stopped dancing yet!).
  5. It's turned up just as I'm setting up my new netbook, so using it now and seeing what's what. 'salreet.
  6. Last time I went the Mrs dragged me to the Christian Louboutin shop down in Greenwich Village. It didn't open til lunch time though so we had a nice walk around just taking in the residential areas, coffee shops, book shops etc. Made a nice change from the usual 5th Avenue/Times Square touristy areas. Aye, that's exactly how I hope it'll be next time. (Not going at the height of summer will help, too!)
  7. They're the most fiercly proud people I've ever seen the Greeks. Speak to one and you'll sharp realise the only history that exists is Greek history, World Wars pale in to insignificance compared to their past like.... The Greek and Macedonian fans actually had a massive brawl outside Eurovision the year it was in Belgrade. Class. They do think they invented absolutely everything like.
  8. Only done NYC twice, once in my early teens with my parents and once last year with the fella. On both occasions it's been about seeing the sights so it's ended up pretty manic and exhausting (I found myself grateful for the slower pace of Nashville last year). Would love to go back and explore the place properly now that I've ticked all of the obligatory tourist boxes though.
  9. Just as long as we don't get an influx of French posters this summer.
  10. Off to this tonight: http://ticketing.southbankcentre.co.uk/fin...-and-song-55987 Not quite Amon Tobin.
  11. Fresh meat. Plus I was bored at work in Germany. No idea what made me sign up here (well, in its former incarnation) and not elsewhere. Probably just the top Google hit for whatever combination of "newcastle united forum" or similar I put in. How romantic.

  14. Oh aye, and Revolver is clearly the correct choice from their repertoire. Even I know that and I own a Hanson CD.

  16. My dad's a ledge, but he's also sunning himself in Bermuda right now, so he can fuck off.
  17. FYP That should be his drag queen name.
  18. At last, the 31-35 cavalry has arrived!
