Tedious sport. Nothing ever happens.

he's living in a B and B in Whitley Bay, claiming benefits, and was in the back seat of your taxi last night, with the approval of Rob W indeed - I am a close personal friend -he's very much maligned and misunderstood Extraordinary fella.

I'm 2001ey and I want my link back.

I wouldn't be against "Turn left on red if clear" for Cyclists. Most of them are fundamentally incapable of spotting "if clear" in the first place.

Mutual exclusivity.

I wonder if cyclists constantly run red lights in NYC like they do here. I wouldn't mind a clampdown on that, but then the police do kind of have other priorities.

I got it just as you were recording it. How old are you again?

So what you're saying is it takes very little for people to come to the conclusion that you're a prize cunt? Tell us something we don't already know.

"Same thing as ever" seems like a baffling thing to want to spend a good whack of money on. Then again, in the last year I've been to see Therapy? and dEUS doing much the same as they were doing in 1998-9, so hey.

It's started so well that it's being rolled out in more cinemas from next week, so keep your eyes peeled. It was never going to be a multiscreen blockbuster, but apparently it's done very well for a documentary. EDIT: Next "cinema week" that is, i.e. from this weekend.

Mung-bean lunch here then: http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/...eptford-project

Gerraway man, we've said we should meet up plenty times, when there's a game on the box and otherwise. And with you always staying just dahn the 'ill from me and all. Really like the Trafalgar Tavern when it's quiet and you can get a seat by the window looking out over the river, for all it's a tourist trap at busy times. Cracking selection of random Belgian beers and the like. And there's a stretch of canny pubs up Royal Hill, couple of minutes up from the main road.
-
Cheeky lunchtime beer at the Birds Nest on Deptford Church Street then, cracking little pub. Problem solved. Could be a winner You're on the doorstep for Blackheath, got nee idea why you's would want to drink in bampy Deptford or Greenwich when The 'Eef is 10 mins walk away. Because it'd be his lunch hour and he's working round the corner at Deptford Creekside. Keep with it! Besides, Greenwich is all right for a mini crawl as long as you stay off the main burn. There's some shithole pubs too though.

It seemed easier to wait and let you come and do the moralising for us, since you were obviously always going to.

Italy, Austria and Bosnia tonight plus over 3.5 goals in San Marino-Hungary. Fiver returns £35ish. EDIT: Well that went swimmingly.

Aye, do so. Greenwich/Deptford are staggering distance from here so I'm flexible. My work mate is 25 and half Asian, you can work your charms on him I'm seeing Senna at the Greenwich Picturehouse on Thursday night as it happens. Is he into fast cars?
-
From experience, I reckon you can rely on the "last train" info being basically right even if the frequencies are different. Obviously leave yourself a bit extra time just to be on the safe side.

But aye, a personal recommendation is probably better.

And this place was on The Hotel Inspector and got tarted up nicely, but the owner was a bit of a weirdo: http://www.st-alfeges.co.uk/

Or if you really want to slum it: http://www.st-christophers.co.uk/london-ho...ondon/greenwich It's even above a Belushi's bar for maximum crapness.

The Novotel next to Greenwich station is the only one that springs immediately to mind. Probably not mega cheap at this late stage though. You'll be on the DLR so anything in the Canary Wharf neck of the woods would be convenient too (though again, same cost issues I imagine). Stevie knows a guesthouse out Blackheath way that I'm sure he can tell you about. Also, fancy a pint?
