  1. I think he's sufficiently far removed from it all (and I know that sounds daft given that he isn't really, but you know how Teflon politicians can be). If nothing else, though, we could approach the next election in the curious position of both coalition parties knowing that persuading their leaders to stand down would be beneficial to their chances.
  2. Canny enough. The mother-in-law's been in town for the weekend, which means we do stuff that I never get round to normally, like museums and culcha and that. Couple days graft this week then him indoors is away Thursday-Monday, so don't expect any of my posts on here to be sober or unsurrounded by takeaway boxes.
  3. Tom Watson hits a hole-in-one at the Open. Canny. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/golf/14166439.stm

  7. Hard to say really, since we never see the stripey shirt bloke.
  8. Jellied shit, a head and some bread. Omm nom nom national culture.

    Beer

Lived here for 5 years and only just found out about this Utobeer place at Borough Market. 700 different beers at any given time. I may have to wait until payday before visiting.
  12. I must be shit at the internet, because I've only just seen this wazzock from the 4-4 day:
  13. Increased efficiency makes people redundant. You can get robots to do a person's job, but a robot can't buy the end product.
  14. Yes, but what about the vast majority of the population?
  15. And on the Metro, so dead easy even for an out-of-towner. </unnecessaryinformation>
  16. Though others make me a bit gigli.
  17. I never used to get that saying as a kid. "Aye, but nine what?" nine stitches.
  18. You always have to take a joke too far(falle).
  19. It's been a good week for investigative journalism all round, really.
  20. I never used to get that saying as a kid. "Aye, but nine what?"
  21. He's on a football forum. You'd think he'd understand the concept of team sport.
  22. I would give a decent whack to charity too, for all it's a cliché, I mean you could make a massive difference to a small charity without even making a dent in £160 mill.
  23. Honestly can't even begin to get my head round that kind of money. But aye, probably buy a pad in the 4 or 5 places in the world I love the most, chuck several million at my family and the in-laws, then travel the world. Or buy Greece.
