Who needs Myrtle Avenue when you've got http://www.flightradar24.com ?

Heads up folks, in about 40 minutes there's the prospect of another Eric The Eel. Just look at the fella's qualifying time in the first heat. http://www.london2012.com/swimming/event/men-100m-freestyle/index.html

Oh dear...

I'm at the closing ceremony. Couldn't get opening tickets. Will have the camera ready for all the highlights from the inevitable Coldplay-fest in a couple of weeks' time though.

I'd forgotten about them in my calculations...

I don't know about you but I was absolutely fucked on Friday morning, and that after four pints and a couple of whiskies. Pathetic. Current mood: annoyed at myself for agreeing to help a friend translate his website for way below my going rate. It's turning into a right monster of a project. The lesson to be learned here: never help anybody.

Is she the one from this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMgmYutL9W0 Wants a good slap if so.

Josateki Naulu. Fijian judoka (that's not easy to say) and thorough attention whore - just look at how he's carrying his accreditation well out of the way.

No longer in the "good on Aidan Burley" camp then?

IF ONLY THERE WERE SOME WAY OF KNOWING IN WHICH PART OF TOWN EL COTO IS LOCATED :panic: -
Going all in with £50 on Blessing Okagbare to win a medal in the women's 100m at 12/5. She's in great form and while I don't think she'll win it, it only takes one or two of the Jamaican and US athletes to underperform and she'll be in the mix somewhere.

I'd like to say I remember things from 1984 but I imagine it's false memories of stuff I've seen on the telly in the years since then. So I guess that makes it Seoul 1988. Ben Johnson, FloJo, Greg Louganis, Anthony Nesty (for some reason - I was an odd child), Britain winning the hockey, Daley missing out, the doves getting toasted at the opening ceremony...

"The Eiffel Tower's got nowt on this, miss!"

Yeah, I was just going to say, if there's milk involved then I assume it's at the stage where you're browning the meat. Hard to say when there's just ingredients and no method though.

Whereas I was out on Brick Lane tonight and it was entirely uncivilised, but that was mostly the Fish's fault.

If only his whole line of argument wasn't so grim and in bad taste, I'd be laughing at this. A lot. Ah fuck it.

Not that it's central to the discussion, but I had the occasion to visit a few local business sites on Monday and was dead impressed. The Siemens renewables training and control centre is obviously a big deal, but I think I was most impressed by http://smd.co.uk/ and their funky machines for, erm, cable-laying and the like. (You can tell I've worked an office job all my professional life.)

They weren't. See the aforementioned hoax. They're actually screenshots from the original Amiga version of Sim City.

How do you know the towers aren't still standing? It could have all been a well-orchestrated hoax between the media, politicians and the good folk of NYC.

I keep misreading it as "Shopping in Denver" and am invariably disappointed by its contents.
