  1. At least I text you in advance. Wait, is that worse?
  2. Liiiiittle bit narked because the quizmaster didn't turn up to the pub tonight. "Illness" apparently, as if that's any kind of excuse. Had a good chat with a couple of old friends and the red wine was above paint-stripper standard, though, so it turned out OK in the end.
  3. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-19400974 Scary stuff, there must be loads of these kind of situations (in various countries) even now.

Shell out for a good, good steak. (Assuming she does red meat, but I doubt you'd do her if she didn't. )

Sacrilege! Some mature cheddar should always be sprinkled atop a cottage/shepherd's pie before it goes in the oven.

Lush. Sounds spot on, we've got friends coming over for crap DVDs and wine on Saturday night so I might well give it a go then. Cheers
  8. I want that and lots of it. Cookery thread pls!
  9. You're from a country where every village has its own dialect, mind.
  10. Car, films, no legs, deaf, a whole fish, beer. Next!
  11. I only got in the background of a shot on Look North when David Bellamy was visiting. Swizz.
  12. The former is Halfway II Heaven, and I did jokingly try to send him there here. As for the place with the Eurovision night, that's Retro Bar - although I watched the Ennis/Farah/Rutherford night of athletics in there with a packed and enthusiastic crowd, so maybe even that's changing for the worse
  13. Also one of my sneaky tips for that part of town. You've done well. Relaxing after a two-dayer of family business and a wedding in Spalding/Stamford. Very glad to have tomorrow off, I wouldn't want to be back to work without some kind of real weekend (i.e. loafing).
  14. Haha, ended up in there shortly before Christmas last year for the aforementioned drunken singalong, it was surprisingly enjoyable. Needed a few drinks down me first though.
  15. Ah, I know the Spice of Life, decent non-denominational place to start a Soho night out. Glad you had a good trip.
  16. Is this the way to Atromitos? Every night I've been eating Doritos ...or something
  17. Wait your tern, we're in a bit of a flap here.
  18. Sounds a bit seedy to me.
