  1. Sounds familiar. The first "meal" I made for myself after my parents dropped me off at halls was a Pot Noodle. (Chilli paste? Luxury! We used to dream of chilli paste.) And aye, there were a few student weeks of value beans on value toast for both lunch and dinner due to sheer skintness. Maybe value spaghetti if I could afford to push the boat out a bit. Puts hairs on your chest (and everything you eat subsequently in life into stark perspective).
  2. Aye, anything that makes it likelier that Bale will play more through the middle is probably a good thing from our point of view
  3. "Newcastle, so frenchy !" Nice video though. http://video.lequipe...g=71e0cac5542s
  4. http://s349909351.websitehome.co.uk/blog/?p=342 I'd copy and paste the whole thing, but this guy deserves some traffic for this.
  5. Tons of good stuff on here, too: http://byliner.com/spotlights/102-spectacular-nonfiction-articles-2012
  6. Crêpes au poulet panées with rustic gaufre potatoes, served on a bed of smashed spring peas and garnished with young leaves and a tomato jus. (Not really, I just stumbled across this photo and thought it was brilliant. )
  7. Old-skool heavy-duty German quality.
  8. Brilliant stuff anyway, gutted I couldn't be there. I scared a few people with my reactions while out walking listening to it on the radio, so that's something at least.
  9. 13 - there was Goufran and Goufron too. (safety )

Excellent. I remember when it first opened, I swear I nearly cried. Was having to survive on the Patak pastes people would bring across when they visited (along with Chocolate Hobnobs and Monster Munch... it's funny what you end up craving).

Is there still that big Asian supermarket at the Hbf end of Lange Reihe? That place was a godsend.

  13. I simply can't put into words how angry I am about the Lewisham situation. These cath-words will get their comeuppance at the next election, fine, but in the meantime the A&E will close and people will die needlessly. It's disgraceful.
  14. Goodbye, Palma's rose Though we never knew you, it seems You were the grace that placed itself In shirtless cowboy scenes
