Passport To Pimlico Quite a giggle, not to mention surprisingly prescient - it's broadly inspired by the previous year's Berlin Blockade, but some of the scenes are eerily reminiscent of when the Wall went up, more than a decade later. Can't say I expected an Ealing comedy to have me thinking about post-war German history.

There's a huge gap in the market for genuinely angry comedy, considering what's going on in the country and the world. HIGNFY should be doing it, but even the News Quiz on Radio 4 is edgier these days. Something like Spitting Image in its pomp would be eviscerating the clowns in our current political class.

It wasn't great, was it? I feel bad because I really like one of the people involved (the script editor, not any of the overgrown bairns in front of the camera). In hindsight he should have "edited" the script by putting a big red line through every page. Count Arthur Strong is another one that should be decent based on its pedigree but really isn't.

The George Foreman, of course. Border collie eats sponge, sponge cleans George Foreman, George Foreman cooks border collie. The rules of "Border Collie, Sponge, George Foreman" are quite clear on this matter.

Wouldn't surprise me if we've effectively already written that one off and are treating the 24th as the start of the season.

"Wonga and Newcastle United have today agreed to amicably terminate their sponsorship agreement in the interests of the squad members with Muslim beliefs. The club is delighted to announce its new shirt sponsor for the 2013/14 season: Mr. Porky's Pork Scratchings"

You appear to be talking about Watching Other Football. There be monsters. -
So what you're saying is "I Owe You Nothing" was the overriding theme of the trip.
