  1. I'll still read Tripadvisor but tend not to pay attention to the absolute scores or relative ratings - the well-written reviews can be useful for stuff you don't necessarily pick up elsewhere (what are the mattresses like, how's the wi-fi coverage, have there been any obvious changes recently that won't be reflected in the overall score, does the short walk to the beach take you straight past a sewage plant, etc.). You can tend to spot the reviews where someone's narked about something specific and read between the lines (or just ignore them). One of the places we looked at for Gran Canaria had a review that was describing the facilities perfectly normally then suddenly went all caps to report that "a Spanish child by the pool DID A POO OMG".

  3. He MC'd a comedy night I went to a while back and was as personable and funny as you'd want for someone in that role, don't know how he'd be over a set of "proper" material though.

He's not accusing anyone, but poor form IF someone off here isn't Scottish as their avatar is claiming. He doesn't even know why they'd do it mind.

  11. Folks, before you click to reveal the spoiler, I'd suggest that last post is not suitable for anything.
  12. Our favourite mental ex-poster had a brief spell where he would chase me around threads, suggesting that someone of "my kind" might prefer to peruse certain special-interest sites instead of posting on a manly football forum like this. Certain special-interest sites that he'd found and kept linking to on here, despite there not being any obvious generic search terms - "gay porn" or the like - that would lead you to them, being quite specific examples of their genre. You'd have to use some fairly niche terms to find them. Or have them saved in the "Russian twinks" section of your bookmarks in the first place, I guess. Definitely Ant who infected his computer though.

Fine, fine. chorizo > bacon > cheese (average rating) > crisps > ketchup > knee-scabs > roofies > buttered slice Any more for any more?

Automatic food improvement scale chorizo > bacon > crisps > ketchup > buttered slice
  17. If an infinite number of LeazesMags had infinite internet access, would they infect an infinite number of PCs by visiting borderline paedophile Russian gay porn sites?
  18. Nah, it'd be symbolic and mean next to nowt really, but you'd think that'd be all the more reason for someone to speak up. Oh well... The recent(ish) Stephen Fry documentaries about homosexuality around the world, including some of the countries where there are laws against it, were pretty great (if difficult) viewing. Obviously not exactly light background entertainment, but you get a little insight into how things must be on the ground, anyway:
