  1. Quite doable from my side of Lahndan. Probably won't bother.
  2. Yeah, that's not pleasant at all. Gute Besserung!
  3. That is the correct response to any suggestion of going to Venn St.
  4. The photographs will be inevitable inconclusive.
  5. He's staying a couple of steps away from 60+ Chinese restaurants, so it'll be takeaway battered chicken balls in a cardboard box again.
  6. He already has Facebook and Twitter. I recommend Mumsnet.
  7. CT won't read that, it has the word "culture" in it
  8. I'm sure this thread used to be about people's holiday plans...
  9. It's at the National Portrait Gallery, as I said about eight posts back. Next-door to but not the same as what I'm assuming must be "that national art place". First floor, near the front. You might have to pass Tony Blair on the way though.
  10. That's two minutes' walk from the Thatcher portrait. Two minutes' walk! I expect a selfie with your hero at the very least. Hat optional.
  11. Dead carbs! Dead carbs!!!!
  12. Or even a deal that stretches beyond their planned promotion. That's gotta hurt. "We've got big plans for this club, Shola, and you're going to help fire us into the top flight with your daisy-cutters of doom. And after we get there, you say? Erm, well... *tumbleweed*"
  13. Also "fernabache" is practically CT quality. Congrats.
  14. Different Gaziantep. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaziantep_B%C3%BCy%C3%BCk%C5%9Fehir_Belediyespor#Current_squad
  15. In zone 2 London you could rent that out for £1,250 pcm.
  16. Although I suppose an Anschlusstreffer scored with a minute to go is futile enough to also be a consolation goal. Hmm.
  17. I'd associate that more with "goals that reduce the deficit to one" than consolation goals tbh. Also why don't we have a word for "goals that reduce the deficit to one"? German has "Anschlusstreffer", which encapsulates the concept and inadvertently evokes the Nazi era, which: comedy bonus.
  18. Just booked up for exactly the same December Gran Canaria trip that we did last year (a week earlier this time), since the complex and the town were nice and quiet and the local restaurants were very decent. Officially getting old, I think. CT, London-wise based on my findings from the weekend just gone, I can recommend a stomp around the Olympic park in Stratford if the weather is decent and you fancy going over to that side of town - they've tarted it up nicely post-Games and there's all sorts of kid-friendly goodies dotted around it, like mini-climbing walls and things. Failing that, if you'd rather stay central, you should at the very least go and pay your respects to Thatcher at the National Portrait Gallery.
  19. At the very worst you'll be inspired to google Newcastle forums after we get dry-bummed on Sunday and sign up for a new account here as NightOwlMugrighter or something. See you then and best of luck in the meantime.
