If they weren't cockernee they could craft a very pleasing "shite on" / "Brighton" rhyme.- 10610 replies

Everybody talk about... pop muzik You'll be grand Jill, if anything the main issue will be overcrowding as all the too-cool-for-school locals come out to support the Christmas markets whereas normally they'd leave that kind of thing to the tourists.

@@Billy Whitehurst Near the end of our week now and I'm sticking with the above. Navarro still easily the best we've had, "posh" food by Costa Teguise standards (so €8 starters/€15 mains) but really very good. It's towards the west end of the town where we're based, though, and for all I know your folks' place might be right down the other end. Either way, you'll no doubt end up in the main centre of town (as such), which is basically a centro comercial or two with all the usual tourist-oriented bars and restaurants doing all the usual tourist food. Best we've tried round there is Pablo's ( ), an Italian with the same prices and grub as everywhere else but a slightly classier feel (and loads of interesting pizzas on a separate menu that they don't display outside for some reason). Another new discovery from this time (though again very much up this end of town) is Casa Felix - best tapas I've had in Costa Teguise in terms of quality vs. price vs. portion size, plus it looks like a typical holiday restaurant so it's not intimidatingly Spanish or anything. As for the local bars: Mind, being near the end of the holiday we'll almost certainly end up doing karaoke at Jesters tomorrow or the night after, so I'm in no position to talk... Hope this helps you survive proceedings.

Been to several weddings now where a ceilidh has been the "entertainment" part of the evening, though obviously not with any great degree of competence expected on the part of the participants, so ultimately it might as well just be the Hokey-Cokey.

I know this has been doing the rounds again, but hey: http://jezebel.com/i-rewatched-love-actually-and-am-here-to-ruin-it-for-al-1485136388

Taking the corgi for walkies.

Pretty lousy result for UKIP too, looking at vote share and the momentum they thought they had. Although on the face of it you could say it's just "hardcore Leave constituency confirms satisfaction with government pursuing Brexit" combined with typical low December by-election turnout and not read anything more into it than that. It's not great news for the opposition though, aye.

In a remarkable turn of events, the Man U game has been picked for live TV.

I need to find a practical use for the sheer rage that wells up inside me every time I see the Daily Mail.

I can't believe Tim Healy is coming out of this as the attractive one.

Could use a weedy female cover version of a 70s/80s pop hit, but otherwise...

Good on you, it's amazing what difference it can make just saying things out loud and having them bounced back at you. Hope things carry on moving in the right direction
