As much as anything, if the LDs are going to be front and centre in mocking the Tory-DUP unholy alliance, I suppose they have to minimise the risk of being accused of hypocrisy.

Probably for the best. I think he's been hard done by with some of the questioning on his views, particularly when you consider the people who are soon going to be propping up May's government, but that kind of thing sticks. Plus last week wasn't quite the #LibDemFightback people initially expected. Jo Swinson or Vince Cable next, I suppose. Preferably the former if we're talking about a clean slate and all.
