Aye, similar story here - better half has just been down to the local centre to see if he could get a walk-in (he's got an appointment later in the week anyway, but figured he might as well try and get as much protection as possible before Christmas) and the walk-in queue had easily 100 people in it, but appointments were going straight to the front.

Just had my first close encounter with a masker-vs.-nonmasker fight at the supermarket. They were already at it when I came along. Couple of punches thrown, thought it was going to get a bit stabby for a while (Lewisham innit) but security eventually waddled over and did their job. Fun times.

Meanwhile in Germany, first full day in the job for Scholz and the newsreader on the state broadcaster has already called him Chancellor Kohl. The post-Merkel era is going to take a bit of getting used to.

I cashed out yesterday, so it makes sense they've come in further. 😬

Lots at a local level, for sure. I can understand why people are more sceptical about MPs though. That said, Lembit Öpik aside - and even he seemed all right in his Gosforth councillor days before he went off the deep end - the extensive sample of two current MPs I can claim to know in any kind of personal capacity are both what I'd call smart and compassionate. Of course, neither of them are anywhere near actual power....

Well, I must say I'm starting to understand why CT voted for Corbyn.

As if Wurzleton would elect a Lib Dem. Pure Leave territory.

Nice of him to discover a fragment of a moral compass now when it doesn't matter.

Aye. We're all multi-jabbed and know plenty about distancing, ventilation and mitigation now if those are things that we're concerned about. Not a chance anyone will pay any attention to any Christmas restrictions (although that's also the last thing he'll want to impose because he loves being loved).
