MT - I respectfully disagree. Both Colo and Williamson are prone to injury at the moment - colo because he is playing alot and recently had a small niggle, williamson because he is just back and very likely to pick up something due to not being matchfit. Whos the first in line if one of them gets injured? Perch. He is basically half on his toes on the bench already. As little as I rate best and shola, I do think they are PL standard to a larger degree than Perch. CB is an absolute necessity, whereas I simply view a striker as a necessity. It really is a "plague or cholera" question though, as both is definately needed.

With a stoke win today they are 2 points behind. We will lose second place in 1-2 rounds if pardew is unwilling to try new things. He is a stubborn as a donkey with proven shite players and I can see another 3-4 sail past us unless we turn things around. We are on cource to around 45 points at the moment which is 12-13th I reckon. Jonas needs a rest, obertan as a prolonged rest. HBA needs to start, and Best needs to find form - and quick. 8th I would take in a heartbeat. 10-13th? Well, thats where indifference sets in on my part. There is really no difference to me or in general. Just midtable nowhere. -
Shane on the left, ben arfa on the right. Tiote and cabaye in the middle. santon on the left. And why not? Our argentine international is out of steam and obertan needs to be perma-benched.

After watching the replay, absolutely. Comfortable save that would have been, Simmo headed it down and past him. Clumsy but things like that happen, too bad it happened to simpson rather than say Colo, because my patience for the lad is already wearing thin. That being said, I doubt Colo would have managed such a howler.

Ridiculous comment. I think he means this season. Not forever, I'm sure he gets ready for the big teams in a few years. I should have explained that one a little further (still not in a great mood following that performance, sorry Salty). It's too early to write Vuckic off against top 6 sides - he wasn't that bad and he's still a teenager who had his second start. You ease youth players into it, which is something Pardew did not do last night. Playing at Anfield on a Friday evening is not the same as a mid-table club at home. You want your experienced players for that kind of match. Im in a shite moot too MT, sorry for the blowout. I obviously meant that for the time being, Vukcic is not ready and should not have started in that formation, away from home, against liverpool in these circumstances. In a few years Im sure he will be more than ready, but that is no way to accustom a player to the PL. He should be brought on on a downhill run, wind in his back, team looking confident against suitable opposition. Just the circumstances thats all. That being said, I think he performed above expectations. Its just that I didnt expect much from such an inexperienced player.

Can we stop counting ( backward and sideways) passes and start looking for quality instead? Vukcic looked out of his depth and I hope he is never started in an away match vs a top6-team again. At home vs shite teams - give the lad 20-30 minutes. Thats what we are giving Ben arfa now so..

He would improve our side, thats all I am saying. Given the performance of some of the players in our starting XI, i dont think that is a shocking statement. I wouldnt even have complained if he started instead of Jonas if Pardew is obsessed with playing obertan. The argentine needs a rest. On our current 8-game form we will finish with 43-45 points.

We have CMs sitting too deep, no wingers and Ba alone up top. Its no wonder we looked like a deer in the headlights when we approached the 40-yard box. No Creativity whatsoever.By the time Ben Arfa came on, we had already lost momentum and he was left with 0 service.

Because Pardew doesnt see Ben arfa as a winger ( god knows why, he has played there with success before), leaving Obertan the only RW choice we have.

Halfway and on 30 points, Yes. The problem is on current form we will do well to get 45. The same people ridiculing pessimists for being unhappy with 30 points are the same ones slapping on another 30 come end of the season. Pardew has been found out, tactics arent working anymore and form is starting to drop individually ( jonas ) or was never there ( obertan, perch, best). I thought we looked composed last night up until around 40 yards, which is where the lack of creativity became evident. a Ben arfa there with a dribble and a pass to Ba would have made all the difference. By the time he came on ( 65 minutes) Liverpool were already upshifting gearwise and it was too late.

Pardew isn't much more than that really... however I wouldn't insert someone proven at the highest level for sure. Can you please stop posting about football. I'll happily talk about music etc with you, but not football. By the sound of your voice, wouldnt be much talking would there?

MT, no. But now that luck has deserted him, he is useless. I litterary spit out my pint when I saw vukcic was starting. Instead of treating Liverpool like fotballing gods, he could have deployed a more agressive tactic and maybe come out with something. Ill wager a 30 quid donation to BR foundation we wont be top-10 come end of this season if this clown is left at the wheel. Santon and Ben arfa starts from now on. There is just no arguing anymore.
