  1. Unsubstantiated nonsense. Which you could also make a case for regarding the opposite assumption. Its all speculation in either case.
  2. If it happened once it could be a bit of journalists in the driving seat yes. Second or third time I see "would have to be a big bid for cheicky" Im getting a bit worried. It could be the man upstairs telling him to promote it, or it could be a bit of Ol`alan not knowing when to shut his piehole.. by january 31th we will have our answer I reckon. That being said I cant see us holding on to Tiote past the summer, regardless of what happends. Unfortunately.
  3. Thats the case for every single PL club save the top4, yet our manager is the only one trotting on about January being a horrible time for every manager and "offers who cant be refused". It isn`t, unless your club is in economic shambles and HAVE to sell to keep the ship float. Which we arent. I`d rather he didnt make those comments at all, about tiote in particular or players in general. If its so horrible and you would rather not see any players sold, why not simply say " not for sale" like any other self-respecting manager would if asked about the backbone of his team. On that Im sure you will agree tecato?
  4. Has the club ever said any of that? All I've heard is that every player has his price and they won't guarantee that a player will stay at the club after the Carroll debacle. Noone's ever actually going to say that are they? History tells the story though. Does it? Who have we sold exactly apart from Carroll for a ridiculous amount of money and Enrique who wanted to go? Don't get me wrong I'm not deluded enough to think we're in a great position. But very few clubs can withstand big money bids from bigger clubs. It's not a problem unique to us. The bigger problem for me is the lack of reinvestment, athough they'd argue that they're able to get top quality players like Cabaye on the cheap instead. We are trying to sell players, feel free to shuffle through pardews comments. Basically "come get them" with a bit of reverse psychology.
  5. Spot on as always sniffer. You should come by more often.
  6. The "you are not from newcastle so fuck off" card is a bit sad tbh. Fans are found in all corners of the world, even those with no affilitation to the city itself..
  7. MT, didnt you see the journalist asking pardew about ACN and what that would mean to the team? Maybe I am reading too much into it but in my ears it sounded like Best was getting the nod. Nothing wrong with that but sounded like he mentioned the ones having to step up when the ACN boys were away on duty and HBA didnt even get a mention.
  8. Ba isnt even first choice on his national team, could well benefit us getting him rested for a month coming back fresh?
  9. I respectfully disagree, there were a dozen of absolute sitters missed in the first 10 games. Brilliant defending cannot explain how you miss "open goal" chances. We have been rank for far longer than the last 10-game bad spell, but Ba has done his part in order to ameliorate that. But I realise its pointless debating that on a night like this.
  10. All he needs is a little pocket camera when he tracks back in order to "see whats going on" -
  11. I just dont have the patience for poor acting, very little required for me to feel like its "acting" in loss for a better word. Rome, Gladiator, 300 etc all brilliant. Kingdom of Heaven I also turned off because I just didnt buy into Orlando as a templar ( to be fair I was just coming off Troy with him refusing to fight )
  12. If you are gonna defend your homophobia please don't invite such obvious necro/homosexual comebacks in your posts. on the night of one of our biggest victories in years you serve only to highlight the fact that we have morons that support us too. good game, good game. cunt (sorry cath) Im sorry if I offended your sexual orientation. I have lots of gay friends. Not for me but whatever floats your boat
  13. The first 11 games we were incredibly lucky at times combined with piss poor finishing by the other teams. Following the hard games where we fell through properly, we had a few matches where mediocre teams found us out. Today we bounced back with a massive win, but certain players elevated their level of play to a large degree - which obviously made the difference. Pardew obviously deserves credit for such a win, but it was as much the players as anything else. The same players playing the same formation that has yielded some rather embarassing results up until now. Still. A massive win and Im happy, 33 points in the bag and a solid 7th spot. Interesting times ahead without Ba and Tiote. Lets see how it pans out.
  14. Turned spartacus off after around 10 minutes .Woeful acting to the point of embarassment.
  15. I think it was quite good. Creative if not for anything else. Bit of Steve Jobs in me I reckon.
  16. I am, just a bit blue because HBA wasnt playing tonight either. Genuinly excited about the lad.
  17. Of course there are issues you melon farmer. You are a Proper OOT like, this win means something no matter how shite everything else might be. There are massive issues around and above the one you are focussed on, everyone on here knows that. No one chose Pards and there won't be that many that think he's the answer, but this is how it is, this is who we have. This is what it's like supporting Newcastle. How is your whining going to change that? Or mine, or Ant's or anyone else's? There are invariably all these issues associated with the club. What you seem to fail to understand and embrace is genuine joy and pleasure in this victory despite the perpetual rollercoaster of shite. If you can't enjoy this and have a bit crack with your fellow supporters, well I don't know what the fuck you want. You can't influence Ashley. You're on rails kidda, enjoy the scenery when it's pleasant rather than shouting at the man stoking the fire, regardless. Im as happy as anyone in here. Does this win undo months of shite results and poor decisions? Some on here seems to think so, I just happen to disagree. Im not complaining about things that cannot be adressed. Our players are what they are, not cream of the crop but capable of a top-7 finish. However we have better players sat on the bench than on the field, odd tactics given our resources and a manager that does not put pressure on the board room regarding shortcomings in our starting elleven, because he is thick as thieves with them. Does it take anything away from the win? No. Biggest win Ive ever witnessed. Does it change the last few months of poor coaching? No. Tonight was about the lads, not the manager. Just like last years 3-1 win over Liverpool at home. My 2 cents.
  18. Best will take Ba`s role, quote by pardew tonight. HBA not even mentioned in the ACN talks.. Bye.
