  1. Oj even wrote a book named "If i did it" on the subject on how he would have killed them IF it were him who did it. He got taken to court for it and all incomes from the book went to the victim families
  2. Honestly think you can count on one hand the number of players in the EPL capable of scoring that goal. Maybe even less.
  3. Gonna put 100 quid on demba ba to STAY. Anyone know a good site or good odds?
  4. He was asked about his childhood club and one that is quickly becoming the new man city, no doubt in a leading manner. Answering "well you never know do you, its possible! Hardly an illoyal response Imo. Demba never pretended to be anything other than what he is, a mercenary. As for the PSG connection, Im not worried. If I was given a limitless budget, I wouldnt go for him. There are younger, better players out there without a career-ending medical condition who arent fucking off to africa for 2 months every year. Im sure PSG are thinking along the same lines.
  5. Im starting to think that too Matt. Ba is a massive gamble for any club, the way I understand it his medical condition is such that if his knee DOES go, it cant heal the same way normal knees can. So he is not a crock per se, but a bit akin to persons with a heart condition ( bad comparison I know). So with his wage demands, you cant really give him a 5 year contract can you. Once that knee goes, its game over. For that reason perhaps he is a bit in the "unsignable really" mould the same way way older players are? De Natale in Udinese for instance. Arguably one of the very best strikers in europe, but being 35 there is no point in buying him. This might also explain why Pardew doesnt seem to fuzzed about it and we dont go out commenting this. Could be because Ba is a very complex player to sign, due to his baggage. We got him for free in the summer, but bringing him in now would be very complex for any club and not really feasible. Probably a stunt from Harry in order for everyone including us to shift attention and our resources to retaining Ba instead of sniffing around Samba/Hoilet/Insert player here. The more I think about it the more plausible it seems that Harry cant sign Ba, be it wages medical condition or otherwise, maybe Levy has already told him its a no go. Thoughts?
  6. There is one thing I dont get though. Maybe Tecato can explain it to me. If there is a release clause, and it is this low - and it seems like it is: Why is Harry broadcasting this in the media? If he is interested like he says he is, why not keep it on the low instead of setting the entire top-6 including more attractive clubs than his - on red alert? Wouldnt he be better off keeping this confidential as long as he could while at the same time try to get the player over the line in order to get a head start? What he is doing now seems like first class WUMMERY to me. I cant think of a single positive from behaving like Harry does, unless he thinks Demba would choose tottenham no matter what. Opinions?
  7. Appearenly around 5 million. Sounds unreal. We must really have thought he was a proper crock and noone would have a punt for us to accept such a low RC, because I really am struggling to comprehend how ashley allowed this.
  8. "Not very effective" would be paying him a massive compliment IMO. Massively useless is a more fitting term. And Im not alone in thinking that judging by the booing and cheering when he comes off recently as well. People are growing tired of him, and for good reason.
  9. Drive - stylistically, its a home run. Fantastic look and feel. That being said, the story itself was absolute poo.
  10. Let go of the balotelli hate Deadman. He was driving around Manchester city centre after the 6-1 win in a cabriolet, high-fiving city fans. Doesnt get better than that. Legend.
  11. He was saying in the summer as well, "special special player", "talisman" etc. Then half a year of water boy duty. He can call him Cheryl Cole in a drag for all I care, as long as he rots on the bench its pretty evident something is amiss. If you rate a player, dont you start him? NORWEGIAN WUM MAFIA /OUT!
  12. Im interested to hear your reasoning behind this, seeing as we were looking for a striker even when we had Andy, and Demba ba came on a free. Sign-on fees being in excess? My reasoning? Whats that got to do with it? You reckon we would have bought Ba if we hadnt sold Carroll? My reasoning for saying that perhaps? Based on Ashley being a tight cunt, what else. Too tight to sign players on a free? Not sure about that one.. Thought we took him on a free ( agent fees etc excluded) We needed a striker. Demba Ba - a prolific striker -was available on a free transfer, music in ashleys ears. He is a tight cunt yes, but he is still looking out for good deals isnt he? If we had Carroll, he might not have stomached the sign-on fees. But still, might of happened. AS FOR THE CLAUSE ------------------------------------- Im pretty sure there is one. Otherwise this rumour would be dead in the water within a day or two after it started circulating. A simple "there is no clause" would do. The number is the big unknown here, is it 8 million, 10 or 14? Who knows. Or maybe a "CL club clause". Im under no illusion we could lose him, the carroll saga taught me that much. Fingers crossed though. Champions league next year and title challenge could well prove too tempting for Ba. I dont blame him tbh. If Tottenham come knocking, I consider himpretty much gone. Too tight to pay wages and agents fees. Its actually not too tight tbf, there will be a ceiling based on the % of turnover that the total wage bill will not be allowed to rise above. Anyway, am just offering an insight into how i think Ashley would have behaved had Carroll not been sold. That subtle distinction seems to have gone over your head somewhat. As for the clause, i just assume that if Karren Brady says that, its based on malice towards Ashley (possibly linked to us trying to get Tomkins on the cheap) and the fact she knows the agent and how he works. The little dig at the end is unavoidable, isnt it You are offering insights on how YOU think he would have behaved, its speculation, little else. Decent speculation though, but I dont think Mike would pass up a class player for free, if the requested wage is within reasonable limits. You could flog someone on later like we did with Nolan, Barton and Enrique. I know full well we have a wage ceiling though, but we recently gave Shola a new contract - so it cant be too bad all things considered. Im sure Mike recognizes the impact Caroll and Ba would have had vis-a-vis Shola.
  13. Have they gone after the guy who told Collymore that he should hang himself like Speed (something like that)? That tweet really stood out imo, never have one sentence included so much offensive stuff. Should be thrown in a cell and have the key tossed.
  14. With that many clubs and agents involved/interested, this will only end in tears.

  17. Yet people will still claim they "graft" because they run back even though it makes fuck all difference since they dont actually challenge anyone. Its like having an extra judge here and there on the pitch.. as long as you dont run straight into them they wont be in your way.
  18. And yet Pardew hails him as being "fantastic for us". You have to start wondering if we are watching the same games, or if he is clasping straws since this was his one personal signing.
  19. Yep. Just start him and give him a licence to roam, like Ronaldo and messi. If the remaining 10 players cant defend adequately without hatem putting in a shift, we have more pressing issues than one lazy magician tbh.
  20. Clueless because you struggle to grasp the basic concepts of football and, indeed, basic discourse. Soz. Feel free to shed light on which particular aspect you are thinking of then. Otherwise you are just being unpleasant. Which is fine if you are that sort of person. Carry on.
  21. Dodgy doesnt even begin to cover it. One injury on CB position means 90 minutes of Perch week in week out. We need a cover, any cover really. Perch on the bench is a fucking joke.
  22. Clueless for thinking Pardew will still start obertan over HBA at the wing? Lets see come next weekend then big shite.
  23. Morale of the story is: Never buy from Fergie ( Unless you are in the mourinho mould)
  24. Agree with Duo. I am suspecting Obertan was fully Pardews signing, and that he was given a little pouch of coins from uncle Ashley to go and buy himself a one-scope ice cream. Now if his one personal signing turns out to be a dud, that would be a huge personal defeat, and for that reason Pardew is just throwing games at him hoping something good comes out the other end. Unfortunately, the only thing coming out the other end is a 14 inch floater.
