We need 3 new defenders in the summer imo. We need a first-choice CB ( Taylor too injury prone), a new LB ( in order to move santon to the right) and a backup for either wing along with Simpson with ass-cheeks firmly sat on the bench. Especially if we reach europe, we need 2-3 competent backup defenders who can proficiently go in and do a job wheneever called on. Midfield its all about keeping our players imo. Marveaux back, Abeid and Ferguson developing nicely.. If we are to play 4-3-3 with ben arfa in a free role perhaps another winger to offload Jonas and give him some much needed competition... Without going completely CT-mode, I do feel that Jonas - as much as I appreciate him - is limiting us if we are to push for a top-5 spot on a consistent basis. He just doesnt have enough end product. He is decent and can do a job, but as a first-choice winger - I would look to upgrade. More often than not I find myself thinking that whenever he has the ball, the best we can hope for is a freekick. He does have the odd good pass but still. As I am not from Newcastle, has anyone actually seen the reserves and Abeid in particular play on a consistent basis? How promising is he? Supposed to be a tidy player.. -
They should have had two penalties, we should have had one. End of the day it doesnt matter, outcome still the same. They are not able to put away pelanties in any case.

The one thing that worries me is that dutch fans in general dont seem to rate him. Some say he is not even first choice at PSV, others say he is only in the holland team because of the scarce competition in that particular spot. I havent seen him play but those kind of views in general worry me. I dont expect the second coming of Cafu, but a bit of hype and general agreement that this guy is mint would leave me more confident. In any case a big upgrade if it means santon can replace simpson and him sementing the LB spot, but when we go out to find a proper proper LB we should get it spot on. In Carr we trust i guess. If he rates him, he must have seen something. I doubt he is blinded by national apps alone like.

bahahaha, Employee of the month that guy is.

Initially I did think it was a dive and it still might be a delayed one for the shirt-tugging, but look at enriques leg right before he falls. Nowhere near the ball for one thing.
-
You ruin everything
-
He definately did but then again, how do you fall if someone is holding your shirt like that? It wont trip you, just slow you down while at the same enable the defender to close the gap. He was denied a clear chance due to the shirt-holding, I thought the refs were quite strict on this rule. edit: actually enrique does trip him without reaching the ball at the end, actually looks like that was the thing that tripped him over. Defo a pelanty.
-
Blatantly obvious Enrique is resorting to shirt-pulling because he cant keep up. That should have been a penalty in hindsight.

Well he did to be fair, but since its Liverpool there are no apologies necessary. Just flat out hilarious.

Germany in the 80s must of been mint. Proper hairy fannies all around.

Hatem laughing his ass off in the background

Leazes, genuine question: Are you happy to be proven wrong? Because if you arent, I wouldnt call you a fan - at all.

Cheers, I trust it Aeris has been holding down the norwegian fort in my absence

Didnt CT advocate loaning Ben Arfa out? He always seems to have it in for one player, now that HBA is out of the woods he has set his sights on Jonas What is this weird fetish with ferguson, aside from looking like he could pull off a liquor store purchase with a fake ID - he hasnt shown me enough to convince me he is the next tony valencia. He seems talented but so does a good few others currently warming the bench. I personally predict great things for Abeid with no basis at all, hopeful though.

I was a bit unsure of how Enriques pace would be a problem for hatem. Not to worry though, not 5 minutes into the match we were robbed off a blatant penalty because Jose couldnt keep up. Hatems shirt was like a sail, and even though his delayed dive was a bit over the top, holding someones shirt like that is a no-go. Enrique is a former sprinter and I`ve seen him get the better of most wingers in the league, the fact that HBA coming back after 15 months with a legbreak and out-accelerates him just makes my pants moist. Im just happy everything seems to be clicking into place now. You have to give Alan credit for making HBA work harder, but at the same time I still think its a shame that obertan and raylor were preferred for a good 20 matches. I accept the sentiment that he wasnt fully match-fit ,but I do believe even at 70-80% he would have been a better option and probably would have nicked us another 4-5 points. All speculation though. The thing with seasons going well is that us fans always seem to elevate our expectations a little bit higher for every victory. It is very tempting to ponder about 4th now, but I wont. Its been a fantastic season no matter how it turns out. Legitimate worries were forwarded during our poor spell in regards to the hoofing, this now seems to have been rectified. Well done Pards.

Just enjoy them while they are ours. Nothing good will come out of constantly worrying about losing them.

As long as this lad is starting I fancy our chances against any opposition. Seems like he finally is ahead of Raylor, Obertan, Lovenkrants, Sammy and the tea lady in the queue. He has the potential to be world class, on the shelf just below Messi and Ronaldo - along with players such as Silva, Aguero, Rooney and Benzema. Will he ever furfill his promise? If he can sort his head and keep his workrate up, quite possibly. One thing is clear though: He should be one of, if not the - first name on the team sheet. We need to build our team around him.

“Every Monday he [Pardew] comes into work having compiled a defensive report on the opposition. That’s his project, working with our video analysts to provide players with the best information. “This week, for example, he will talk about Manchester City’s angles of attack, their set-pieces, their movement, as well as focussing on individuals. The lads will be made aware of Dzeko’s strengths and weaknesses, the best way to nullify Silva, Milner’s incredible work-rate, everything. “That takes care of Monday to Thursday. On Friday it’s my turn when we look at ways to get at opponents. Put simply, Alan concentrates on how not to lose and I then find ways to win.” scary sh1t http://www.nufcblog.org/2011/11/carver-on-pardew-and-the-way-newcastle-run-their-week/#.T16UKc5Gxok

Right, cant be arsed anymore - pointless posting anything when you get " fuck off mug cunt" thrown at you for simply pasting a twitter quote for those who didnt happen to see it already. Even though there are a fair bunch of friendly lads here, Im done. Haway rest of the season and maybe I`ll see some of you at st.james. Cheers
