Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Lake Bells tits replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Why wasnt he suited though. Suited to us in general, or pardews original hoofball philosophy? I am all for getting behind our manager, but it can quickly become a bit one-sided if we automatically blame Ben arfa for not fitting in. It may well be the case, but there is usually two sides to a story ( or three..)- 10610 replies

Nothing is a must really, another win or two should cement our 6th spot with a few draws hoyed in. Would be quite cool to give chelsea and tottenham a sweat though..

I am simply reciting what he told me. I asked hm if it was a heavy blow for them to lose him, he said no. elaborating on that he told me Tiote was very good, but not really the backbone of the team, he felt players like Douglas, Bryan Ruiz, some brazilian striker Icant remember the name of etc were more important. I remember I looked at the record and found that tiote did play alot of games but not all of them and he was a sub for quite a few as well. Maybe my mate was/is clueless, maybe he aint. Just a fans point of view I guess.

Williamson have been absolute gash aside from the last match or two. What issues where there with HBA other than starting him? I am not going to give pardew credit for starting a world beater
-
Rooney is even less of a striker these days
-
Not really. It is blatantly obvious that he is a very good player, just boring to watch. Positionwise he plays a bit like Ba atm ( or is it the other way around)..

I think there are better managers out there for us out there with our roster of continental superstar players, but you cant really complain about 6th, its very good. I remember the Graham carr interview where he said they drilled defense 4 days a week and leave fridays for offensive tactics. That has to change, its a bit of a waste with our players. We are good going forward, but we can be great. I do think Pardew talks alot of bullshit, but he is the best fit for us right now. As long as he starts Ba Cisse and HBA I have no complaints.- 10610 replies

Silva in his prime, maybe. He has been gash the last months mind. Nasri, certainly not while at City. Arsenal days, maybe. You have to keep in mind these players play for the best clubs in the world. Ben arfa has made a name for himself in a mid-table premier league team with very variable quality who has recently performed at a level noone would expect them to. This can quickly turn into one of them debates other fans will laugh at, but honestly I look at how silva and nasri are playing atm and then I look at how ben arfa gets a ball in our own half then skins 7 players - I genuinly dont think I would have either over him. He is THAT special after a 15 month leg break and in his first 10 matches back he out-accelerates Jose Enrique when he is not dribling him on his ass..? Silva at his best is brilliant but a different player. In a very different way but for the same reasons, Ben arfa is like Drogba in his prime. When on-form, he is unplayable. There is nothing you can do about him. He will go past half your team and score, how do you defend against that? When I sit down to watch a match and see him the pitch, my heart misses a beat. Am I alone here in this? -

I was very critical of pardew during the hoof wars early 2012, he seems to have rectified this - well done on him. We have seen glimpses earlier whenever Ben Arfa had cameos though, we instantly start to play better fotball. I still think we should have played ben arfa every week ( even if just for 1 half) from september/october on, and noone will convince me otherwise. Its criminal to have him warm the bench.- 10610 replies

Yep, I spoke to a mate supporting twente at the time where he went to us, he said he wasnt that pivotal to them - squad player basically. time will tell.

Rooney is such a dross player to watch lately. Very competent, but boring. Mostly runs sideways and completes smart passes. He is the fotballing equivalent of a Volkswagen Golf.

Very true, its way easier being a good player in Manchester United. Im biased but I struggle to find players of similar ilk to Ben Arfa, not only in england but also Europe. An in-form Robben would be the most accurate comparison imo. The way he just wades through players is very similar to messi, he makes it look so easy yet at the same time you know 95% of the wingers in the PL struggle enough with 1 man. My theory is that Ben arfa has the rare gift of being so in touch with the ball that he doesnt actually have to watch it to dribble, meaning instead of the usual " decides on where to dribble, defender follows, it either works or it doesnt", he shifts from side to side to see where the defender goes, then goes the other way. This way sometimes it just looks like he runs right through people. The most amazing thing is, this alone even paired with jonasesque finishing ability would probably get him a spot in most PL sides. He just happends to have a lethal finishing ability as well. At the end of the day I end up with one single question: How in gods name did such a player end up on the tyne. We need to give him the keys to the city and donate our finest virgin to him as soon as possible in order to tie him down for life. -

Well lets be a bit careful before we shit all over Valencia, Young and Nani like. For all his talent he needs to show consistency. Take Nani last year, 13 goals and 21 assists or something was it? Quite impressive. Getting another ben arfa would be nigh-impossible, but I am sure there are french ( ) wingers in ligue 1 who are alot better than Jonas going forward. If we got a class left back in, that would enable someone to bomb forward on that flank too -
I wonder if Rooney will ever leave Manchester United. Winning the premier league must get old after a while, and I cannot see Man Utd win the champions league with their squad anytime soon. It isnt good enough against teams who dont come to old trafford with hat in hand and awestruck ( read: non-englsih teams). Could see him going to a club like Real Madrid, he would be excactly what they need, and Im sure Colleen Ratface wouldnt mind a bit of marbella sunbathing to brown the belly fat a bit. He is too good to be stuck in one club his entire career, if I was a pro I would certainly move around a bit if possible. Spain, Italy... would be lovely like.

I have had no issues with jonas until we stuck ben arfa on the other side and witnessed how much a proper offensive winger actually creates and sets up. -

Ok so he is part of a team that has messi in it and frankly a redicilous offensive line-up. Still, that in itself isnt an arguement imo. Add to that he was picked by Maradona who most likely is swimming in flour when he isnt visiting his Cosa Nostra friends in Napoli or fighting off heart attacks. -

The fact that he is an international holds no value to me at all, I judge him solely on how he performs in black and white. That being said, his massive contributions are not lost on me, I just ponder if he is good enough offensively to constitute a starting position as a winger next season. By then we will ( hopefully) have signed a better left-back who doesnt need constant babysitting, hence his grafting will not be as needed. To me he falls a bit short on the attacking part. -

A rough translation: In the game against Ajax, he got himself into big trouble. Not only by the reversing into our own goal when lukaki casually came on his flank, but also because he was very reluctant to go forward.Additonally he had a horrible panic pass back to bouton who had to clear it to tyson.. He just seems to panic-struck and afraid to play himself out of trouble, and as a direct result, trouble ensues. Good point, I also noticed how insecure he was the last time. The big question for me whether it is structural that he is not safe to be around when pressure is put on him, he is only somewhat dependable when he is allowed to relax and given ample time. Hmm, this seems eerie familiar.

I hope you can read dutch, or if not, pick up fast. http://psv.netwerk.t...m7/1247-190.php Some of the views are probably a bit biased as they suspect he will be off and head is elsewhere bla bla bla, but still.
