  1. We have nothing and everything to play for, so this should be a good one. 12 points down to 7th, just relax and have fun from here. 56 points, everything from now on is just gravy imo.
  2. American cars are shit to drive though, they are cheap enough to fettle with I guess, but they handle like boats and rattle and squeak. If you want an investment, look to 80s german cars. Built like the proverbial vault, and engineered back when the bean counters had not yet started to interfere with costs. Im probably buying one this summer. Already have a 190E Merc, looking to either a 190E 2.3-16 cosworth or a Bmw E28 M535/M5.. These are on the rise. E30 M3`s are already into the stratosphere, one on ebay went for 90.000!
  3. Man i cant wait for the bolton game. Just watching Ben arfa walk around on the pitch gives me goosebumps.
  4. Anyone heard about Susanne Sundfør? Norwegian Artist, quite talented - around my age.
  5. Bit of a turn-off seeing all them lasses piss and vomit in the streets, but I guess a chewing gum and a wipe sort most things out 3 AM.. We need an early goal imo, a few from Ba would be nice today. Get his confidence back.
  6. 3rd is gone, 6 points in 6 matches over arsenal - I dont fancy our chances there. Its tottenham and chelsea we need to sort out, and tottenham have a very easy run-in.. I think all three of them will end up with 67-72 points, so we need to pick alot of points in the last 6 to have any hope. I actually fancy our chances more vs city at home than Chelsea away. The problem is, will Pardew have the balls to properly have a go at these teams? Time will tell¨, but I have a feeling Pardew doesnt want CL enough to make a proper run for it. He even said so himself " we arent good enough, I dont fancy us". Could be reverse psychology but.. .meh who knows..
  7. All Ive seen of toon lasses have been from Geordie shore, getting a shag over there cant be that hard by the looks of it. Most girls seem to go out hoping to get stuffed.
  8. Agreed. If we can get 5 mill for him that would be daylight robbery and somewhat soothe my gaping wound after enrique left.
  9. Yeah well, still close enough for a top player to stay for the 2009/2010 season I reckon. After that it all went tits up but at that point Gerrard was pushing 30 and injury-prone.. He nearly went to chelsea in 2005 but failing that Its understandable that he stayed and helped them push for CL and the title. The latter failed but not everyone accomplish what they set out to do, especially when you are competing with Fergie. Came damn close though..
  10. Well the modern fullback role have developed to offer much more than only defending, and often the best offensive fullbacks are also a bit of a liability defensively - see Lahm and Baines. That being said Johnson is particularily weak in that area, Ive seen him skinned a time to many to consider him "great".
  11. And how does Gerrard fit into that arguement? Liverpool have been in CL semis and finals time and time again the past 5-6 years, and nearly snubbed Manchester United to the title in the 2009 season. Its only the last 2-3 years the club has been in decline, coicindentally so have Gerrard due to injuries and loss of quality team mates. In company with players such as torres, Alonso and Mascherano I can perfectly understand why he decided to stay with his boyhood club.
  12. Simpson views himself as a GB right-back, his sour blame-face will never accept a benchwarmer-role - and for that reason alone any discussion about keeping him is pointless, either you support him as our first choice or we get rid. He has the basic skills to function as a PL-player, but nothing stands out. We should look to upgrade. He also runs like a baby who has just learned how to walk.
  13. As much as Gerrard`s career could have been much better, I find it a bit rich that us newcastle fans slate him for it, Shearer being the proverbial elephant in the room and all that. Fotball isnt always about rational choices, if you love the club you are playing for, you might want to stay no matter how green the pastures seem at the other side. History is plagued with fotballers who are or were "too good for their clubs". Its a mentality I dont particularily fancy, as soon as someone show a bit of talent they should fuck off to Manchester United sooner rather than later. Much more interesting to have big players spread around a bit. Not everyone are Michael Owens..
  14. agreed, add to that get a young supertalent with the right mindset in who can cover for either or both.
  15. Give over Simpson is our only ever present all season and has cleared 6 or 7 balls off the line. You are a mug if you think it's not worth hanging on to a player like that. Because we have no other bodies at right-back, thats why. Aside from the fact that he has been told to stand in the goal in case any balls come in that direction, how many off the line saves have been due to him reversing like a lorry into a tesco whenever pressure has been applied at that flank? He cant play fotball, liability. I dont even want him on the bench, if we can get 5 mill for him from villa or stoke, and re-invest in a european hot-shot, that would be good.
  16. Im not even gonna bother arguing with you about simpson, you are clearly WUM`ing it up. Guthrie has a part to play but he is hardly pivotal to our team. A typical "nice to have" player - a bit like benayoun albeit not as good.
  17. Unfortunately for your arguement we are all equipped with eyes, and we can clearly see he is dogshit. If Ferguson cant make a player out of him, I doubt we can. Giving him games havent helped, it has just made him worse.
  18. From their forums about pardew: According to my mag loving brother in law his new title since his 2or3 decent games is now 'King Arfa'............the utter (unt. Him and me brother in law! Parboo, the gore-die wannabe, burns victim, thin top lip; massive bottom lip; off sucking cock, deluded, ego maniac, bog woppit, fails once more massively. Hope he gets genital warts............again... ............on his barse!! And a dwarf!! Burns victim is actually very good
  19. Yep, but then again, in the 2010/2011 season Alex Song had 5 goals and 3 assists, and this season he has 2 goals and 13 assists, so he does contribute a bit offensively as well, and thats just going off raw statistics.
  20. Which begs the question can CL-clubs afford a specialist break-up merchant in a league where the biggest challenge often is to penetrate teams parking the bus. In Europe I can see the need more clearly. I do think most teams would take him, mid-table clubs would probably sell their sister to get him - but will the top clubs splash 20 mill for a break-up merchant? Offensive players carry a steeper pricetag compared to defensive anchors etc.
