  1. maybe, maybe not. But at the same time I feel that alot of "stereotyping" and " bad match-ups" are a bit of a wooly expression nowadays. Quality is quality, in whichever form it comes. Same has been said of Aguero and Silva in terms of adapting to a "rougher, pacier league". I think big andy in form would have contributed to most teams...
  2. I dunno, I think he could have added another dimension for us... Carroll in form is quite pacey, has a lovely first touch and shoots like a donkey. Aerial ability need not be discussed. Unfortunately for big andy, the liverpool move was the worst thing that could have happened to him. He needs games, atm he is rotting at the bench and with the january window coming up, I can only see him getting further and further from a starting position.... Cant help but feel sorry for the lad, as he was pushed out against his will. 35 mill was a lovely price but we wont see anything of it. I support the sale due to the fees involved but its a shame it wont get re-invested...
  3. I still think he is a better player than Demba Ba in a fantasy scenario where he didnt leave, still had the #9 shirt and had cabaye and ben arfa around him..
  4. Well...Santons true position is almost a thread of its own isnt it? Regardless... well yeah, but I guess in the grander scheme of things, if santon on the left makes this bad boy slot in on the right, all the better for it...
  5. huh? Carroll's career in so far in Liverpool = ah, well it was just a quick thread name I threw together as an excuse to post the brilliant GIF. Sorry if im wasting bandwidth here tecato.
  6. Didnt pardew say he was a bit surprised ( disappointed) that santon hadnt quite adapted to the PL level yet=
  7. Well, by attaching "for sale" tags to everyone of value? Someone reckons Tiote is our golden calf and tries to flog him by means of quite obvious reverse psychology.. Last years window it was carroll, now Tiote is being groomed..
  8. Yes but even though everyone de facto is for sale , you dont have to smear "fire sale" posters all over our squad....
  9. Which is what he is told to say. I doubt Pardew is saying it just because he feels like pointing it out, he is specifically told to say this by Dekka.
  10. Id prefer to give Santon his blood debut on Old trafford tbh. What could possibly go wrong.
  11. Raylor is an accident waiting to happen, thats for sure. That being said he has been good for us this season. Still though, there will come a time where he is limiting our progress - if not yet then at some point...
  12. On another day we could have gotten something from that game..
  13. I hope for a draw in every game that doesn't involve us because it leaves a point on the table, so to speak. That approach has the most expected value for us without the benefit of hindsight later on. Aye, draws are where its at. You need to a mathematical imbecile to prefer otherwise. That being said, I might just be one just to see Liverpool lose... you know what, fuck it. 6-0 to Chelsea would do me just ricely..
  14. Indeed. City is beatable, we just need to be a bit more effective. That being said, they would probably beat us 8 out of 10 times ( 6-7 with tiote playing )
  15. THE interview had finished when Xavi Hernandez, the world’s best midfielder, started asking about English football. Unlike many footballers, the Barcelona and Spain international is a fan with an insatiable appetite for trivia. “One of the best stadiums is Newcastle,” he said, eyes sparkling. “St. James’ Park.” He then asked several questions about the third biggest club stadium in England. Here kitty kitty kitty...
  16. Tecato was spot on with what he said. If they hadnt scored 2 in the first half, they would be raping us to the 90th minute. They are a class above really, and theres no shame in that.
  17. It was a shocker no doubt, but Im not gonna start passing judgement based on one game for a player who single-handledly have gotten us alot of points this season...
  18. Hes been enjoying the downhill dream run along with the rest of the team, and I think everyone deep down knew he was bound to blow up at some point. We have gotten away with alot of sloppy play this season, now we get punished for it by a team that actually knows how to score a fucking goal. Honestly, there has been numerous shocking bloopers in other games as well, its just been forgotten since everyone suddenly stopping scoring on Krul.
