  1. How the hell can he get up to speed when he is rotting on the bench? Is there way to get into shape from the sidelines, if so tell me? Best is hardly pulling up trees is he, and Obertan is like a headless chicken. He has been out with a broken leg for a year, and had a few games. Now he is told to come up a level? We are willing to play obertan week in week out to no avail, and Sammy and Vukcic has hardly set the world alight have they? Frankly I don't really care if HBA is eating mars bars behind the bike sheds and stealing Pards porn mags. He starts. He's more dangerous than Obertan. Guti and Best Tecato I demand an answer.
  2. He is basing it on this article man. http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2011/12/20/double-defence-boost-for-nufc-by-end-of-january-61634-29981064/? Concerns over Maiga’s fitness – combined with the good form of Demba Ba and their other strikers – appears to have lessened the urgency in the St James’ Park boardroom to bring in the long-mooted replacement for Andy Carroll.
  3. http://www.nufcblog.com/2011/12/20/newcastle-may-delay-striker-signing-until-the-summer/#more-110993
  4. Caroll would have shot us into top-7 during the spring season.
  5. Sorry Big Money. I actually thought about something while making a midnight yorkshire pudding. Long-term, selling our players for redicilous money can only be a good thing. It lets Mike recuperate his losses and maybe look upon his redheaded stepchild with less anymosity. I do think Mike wants success, he just wants to turn around the ship financially while doing it. And that is the primary concern. Getting this club to turn a profit again. That means buy cheap, and sell expensive. He wants the best players for the least amount of money, both for performance and for resale value. Now, how much of a 25 million Tiote sale would we actually see? Hard to tell, certainly not all - not even half of it. But it WOULD go back into the club. And if it allows us to buy - say a 3 million midfielder to replace tiote, a 3 million right back and a 4 million pound centre back, would it make us a better side? Not neccessarily, because we dont know if these players would A, Make it in the Premier league B, completely offset the weakened side as a result of tiote leaving but it would provide us with C, greater depth I think Mike has a plan of creating a team of players costing below 7 million, ideally 3-4, where every season you have someone taking the step up and turning into a 10-15 million player. Mike wants success HIS way, WHILE earning money, and WHILE reducing the debt. Long-term I think he is hoping for a debt-free club, turning a profit which allows for 2-3 new purchases every year, where he can pocket the sales profits from star players, all while promoting SD through the club. He does benefit from the club being successful though, so its fair to say he wants us to do well and will do everything he can within the frameworks of his business plan to make us achieve that. Which unfortunately does not prevent us from selling our best, and does cap us in regards to how much we pay for players, but still. Could work.
  6. 1-2 more wins and ashley can pretty much sell 2-3 players for 50 mill in January and still avoid relegation, probably end 11-14th. Sign a few freebees and the odd "release clause fuckup" in the summer - rince and repeat. He`ll have a debt-free club free of charge within 4-5 years.
  7. He is a goner. If not in january, then in the summer. Tiote has been groomed for a while now. Ashley doesnt even need our team to gel. Just get the 40-odd points for a nice tidy mid-table finish. He is probably reckoning - strengthen the team and keep your best players - 6th-8th. Sell for 30-40 mill every year - 12-15th. Which path do you think he is inclined to choose?
  8. Aye Tecato being the prime offender.
  9. Anty, did you fancy Consequences of Love? Did you enjoy it?
  10. I think im getting too old for the inbetweeners. Average acting and the "get laid" theme was fun back when american pie ruled and I was 15-16. I cant decide if its the scripted acting or if Im too old.
  11. Just turned on the telly after work, this UK show is on. Fucking hell and people say us scandinavians are liberal when it comes to sexuality. I can tell you this would not go down well if there was a Norwegian tv show The entire family, grandma - his dad etc sits around the table discussing weakening the anus muscle and using condoms when he takes it up the pooper
  12. Ant, he hasnt been a crock no, but appearently he has had issues with his knee this fall. He played the last 2 games, but before that he was out for a while. Might be a recent issue which has surfaced?
  13. Its just pointless speculating really, we have no idea where they priorities lie atm. Lets just lean back and observe as Mike yet again makes a tidy profit.
  14. Sounds grotesque like some american turkey pie. Me experimenting with the Turkey on Xmas day wouldnt go down well. Ive only made one Jamie thing, (cant remember what it was) and it was dreadful. I think I saw his Christmas show last year and it looked pretty good although perhaps a bit complicated for me and too posh for our lass. (Thinks red wine in meat sauces etc is weird ) Travelled around asia with my ex a few years back, all she wanted was fries and a burger whereever we went. Sushi? No ty, fries please. Lovely lass otherwise but had the culinary experience and preference of a 4 year old.
  15. He is not going anywhere lying on the couch munching pies though.. so at least thats something
  16. Well you end up like Conspiracy theory Dave over at N-O if you are going down that route. Gets tedious tbh I feel confident we will do our best to sign a striker as cover for Ba, and a central defender. If we fail to do this - regardless of the excuse ( held for ransom) - I will never again trust the regime. Eternal mugs in that case and Im done with any transfer speculation ( incoming at least )
  17. That would work if if we'd gone a whole season with little involvement in terms of Ben Arfa playing. And if Ben Arfa's transfer was dodgy. Except he has played, it's only December and people are looking for conspiracies because he chose to play Vuckic and the Ameobis instead. Yes he may be talanted but players do have different roles and maybe Pardew felt the aforementioned subs were more suited to what he wanted. In retrospect I imagine he realises that perhaps Ben Arfa might have a better option. He'll probably play the next game and some people will feel a little silly. Half a season though, and this is a player referred to by pardew as a "talisman" player and "able to do things noone else can". Suddenly he has a bench of youngsters in front of him in the pecking order? Im curious as to what is going on is all.
  18. I wouldnt know, Ive never seen a mobile pie in my life. Only read about them on these forums. They are like a mythical beast to me. The Unicorn of fast food.
